DT 156 and TSOT 638 - Happiest of Birthdays

Welcome to Double Trouble Challenge 156 and Try a Sketch on Tuesday Challenge 638!

Try a Sketch on Tuesday has changed names (was Try Stampin' on Tuesday). Please check their website for detailed information about the challenges, post times, etc.

The challenge at Double Trouble is all about backgrounds - bold and bright (extrovert) or subtle and subdued (introvert). I really am an introvert but I prefer bold and bright colours so for the purpose of this challenge, I am turning into an extrovert. Check the Double Trouble Challenge Blog for detailed information.

The background was hot foiled in silver and I used bright pink and turquoise markers to colour in the leaves and berries. The dogwood branch was die cut front very dark teal cardstock and I cut the leaves from turquoise and the flowers from white cardstock. The flowers were inked and I also inked the bases of the leaves to add dimension. Once that was all assembled, it was placed on a the diamond and square die cut pieces. The sentiment was also hot foiled and backed with the same dark teal cardstock that was used for the card base. I added some clear Stickles to the centres of the flowers to finish off this card.

Come and join us at both Double Trouble and Try a Sketch on Tuesday. For this challenge ONLY, you can link up with TSOT a day early - the challenge normally begins on Tuesday.

You have two weeks to link up with each of these challenges.

We can't wait to see what you create!

Enjoy,

Alyson
