Double Trouble 102 - Be Yourself Mini Slimline

Welcome to Double Trouble Challenge 102!

It's the Something, Anything, Everything week... you can create anything you wish! If you want an extra chance for the random draw, be sure to check out Thing 3's requirement to create something other than an A2 card.

The small graphic is below - please visit the Double Trouble Challenge Blog for more information.

I created a mini slimline card for this challenge. This card was inspired by one created by Karen Joy from Karen Joy Creations (Pinterest). I die cut a blanket stitched mini slimline shape and embossed it with a subtle design. The flowers were stamped and die cut twice so I could use one set at the top and another at the bottom. I used second generation stamping for some of the leaves and flowers to provide more contrast. The sentiment was stamped and embossed in white and placed across the section where the flowers met in the middle. Some shimmer was added to the flowers and I added some clear gems around the card.

Come and join us at Double Trouble and show us how you have fun with this open challenge!

You have only one week to link up with this challenge.

I am also entering my card in Challenge 480 at Colour Dare (Wisteria, Wild Berry and Capri).

We can’t wait to see what you create!

Products used are as follows:

Paper: White Daisy Cardstock, Black Cardstock (CTMH)

AH 458 - Hugs Layered Card

Welcome to Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge 458!

This week's sketch is a vertical one and it has the potential for lots of layers.

I used a mixed colour scheme from a retired CTMH collection called Blue Skies. The bottom two layers were die cut using stitched rectangle dies and the inner pieces were measured to fit within the smallest rectangle. A ribbon was wrapped around the middle piece and a bow was added beside the floral image. The sentiment was die cut and placed at the top. The flowers were brushed with a red shimmer brush and some clear sparkles were added to the centres.

Come and join us at Atlantic Hearts and show us how you interpret the sketch shown above.

You have until Sunday evening to link up your project.

We can't wait to see what you create!

Products used are CTMH unless otherwise indicated:

Friendship Flowers

This is a card inspired by a technique I watched by Gina Krupsky of Gina K. Designs.

The floral images were stamped with Versamark and embossed in white. A light ink was blended over the flowers and slightly past the edges of the images. I used some watercolour pencils and a blending pen to lightly colour and blend a darker shade in the centres of the flowers and the leaves. The sentiment was stamped in black ink and the card front was adhered to black cardstock and then to a white card base.

Products used are as follows:

Paper: White Daisy Cardstock, Black Cardstock (CTMH), Hammermill White Cardstock

Stamps: May Flowers (GKD), Friendship is a Blessing (CTMH)

Inks: Versamark, Ocena Breeze, Aquamarine (Pinkfresh Studio)

Accessories: Watercolour Pencils (Derwent), Blending Pen, White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool

Rainbow Circles

This is a technique I have wanted to try for a long time... my card didn't turn out quite as I expected but it still looks neat with the rainbow effect.

My intention was to have the tops of the circles resting along the same horizontal line but mine are different... there is a drop in the center. I die cut one of each coloured circle and further die cut some of them to create a partial cut. They were arranged in rainbow order and adhered to a gold heart background. The sentiment was white embossed on black cardstock and adhered at the top. The word "rainbows" was die cut from gold foil and placed across the circles. I added a few clear sequins to finish off the card.

Products used are as follows:

Paper: Heart Patterned Paper, Cardstock - White Daisy, Pixie, Candy Apple, Nectarine, Lemonade, Avocado, Clover, Lagoon, Bluebird, Pansy, Black, Gold Foil, White Cards and Envelopes (all CTMH)

Stamps: Sending and Wishing (SSS)

Inks: Veramark

Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Dies, Stitched Circle Dies (GMD), Rainbow Builder Die (Heffy Doodle), White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Clear Sequins (misc.)

CD 481 - Shades of Yellow

Welcome to Colour Dare Challenge 481!

This week, it's all about yellow (plus white, black and gold if desired).

I created a yellow diamond background using various shades of yellow. The photo doesn't show the lighter shade differences but there are five shades represented.

Once the background was finished, I stamped a vine image in black and added a die cut sentiment. The yellow background was adhered to a black mat and then a white card card. A few black liquid pearls were added around the vine and the sentiment.

Come and join us at Colour Dare and show us how you interpret the challenge shown above.

You have two weeks to link up your project.

We can’t wait to see what you create!

Products used are as follows:

Paper: White Daisy Cardstock, Black Cardstock (CTMH)

Stamps: Wild Blossoms, Friendly Silhouettes (GKD), Nested Diamonds (PFS)

Inks: Lemon, Lemonade, Canary, Saffron, Sundance, Versamark (CTMH), Black (GKD)

No One Compares to You in Gold

This is another card inspired by one I found on the internet.

The gold frame was die cut and adhered to the front of the card. A leaf wreath was die cut from vellum and cut into smaller pieces. Those pieces were placed under the flowers, which were die cut from washi tape. The sentiment was foiled in gold and also die cut. Some gold gems were added in the corners to finish off the card.

Products used are as follows:

Paper: White Daisy Cardstock, Gold Foil, Vellum, White Cards and Envelopes (CTMH)

Stamps: none

Inks: none

Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Dies (GMD), Anemone Magic Washi Tape and die, Celebrating You Foil Plate and die, Gold Gems (Pinkfresh Studio), Gold Foil (Spellbinders), Arrange a Wreath die (SU)

Lifting You Up Slimline

There are so many terrific projects out there and this card was inspired by one made by a Pinkfresh Studio design team member.

The slimline background was die cut, leaving the open circles. I placed a piece of blue cardstock behind so the edges would also be visible around the outside. The sentiment was stamped in the centre circle. The flowers were all die cut from washi tape (yes - WASHI TAPE) and were arranged around the circles. The background was adhered to a slimline cards base and I added some pink gems around the circles.

Products used are as follows:

Paper: White Daisy Cardstock, Capri Cardstock (CTMH)

Stamps: Always Uplifting (Pinkfresh Studio)

Inks: Black (Gina K. Designs)

Accessories: Circle Window Slimline Die (CTMH), Anemone Magic Washi Tape, Anemone Magic Die, Bubble Gum Gems (Pinkfresh Studio)

Floral Card Set

These three card styles were all inspired by some cards made by the Pinkfresh Studio design team. I created three sets of four cards, each in the same set of four colours. They will make up one set of twelve cards to be given as a gift.

The floral images for all the cards were stamped, stencilled and die cut. The first card style was created using a sunburst stencil for the background. The floral images were placed around the centre and a sentiment was added off to the right. The cards front was adhered to the base using craft foam and a few coordinating gems were added to each card. I also brushed the darker flower sections with shimmer brushes (clear and gold, depending on the colour scheme) - this was done for all the card styles.

The backgrounds for the second set were created using a pair of plaid stencils and very light ink. Stitched scalloped rectangles were die cut from white cardstock and stacked. The floral images were adhered in the corners and a sentiment was added at the bottom.

For the last set, I created some frames using my Cricut. The floral images were placed along the top and left side and a sentiment was added in the corner of the images.

Products used are as follows:

Paper: White Daisy Carsdstock, Candy Apple Cardstock, Pansy Cardstock (CTMH), Orange Cardstock, Blue Cardstock (scrapbook.com), Hammermill White Cardstock

Stamps: Just a Hello plus dies and layering stencils, Celebrating You plus dies and foil plate (both Pinkfresh Studio)

Inks: Black (Gina K. Designs), Versamark (misc.), Candy Apple (CTMH), Candy Violet, Sky Blue, Peach Fuzz (Pinkfresh Studio), Lime Rickey, Grass Skirt, Aquatini, Tiki Torch, Orange Twist, Something Borrowed, Suede Shoes, Flirty Fuchsia, Grape Crush, Be Mine, Samba, Rockin' Red (Catherine Pooler)

Accessories: Cricut Artbooking Collection, Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Dies, Diamond Plaid Stencils, Gems - Sapphire, Lavender, Silver, Gold (Pinkfresh Studio), Sunburst Stencil (Echo Park), Gold Foil (Spellbinders), Gold Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Craft Foam, Thin Foam Tape

Birthday Wishes Bloom

I really like the style of Gina K. from Gina K. Designs. Her cards are clean although not always easy to create. I found one similar to this on Pinterest and thought I would give it a try.

The background was ink blended in four colours over a maze stencil. That piece was trimmed down and the plant and sentiment were stamped in black ink. It was adhered to a piece of black cardstock and then to blue cardstock with craft foam. I added a few clear dew drops around the card and that was it!

Products used are as follows:

Paper: Black Cardstock, White Daisy Cardstock, Bluebird Cardstock (all CTMH), Neenah Solar White Cardstock

Stamps: Wild Blossoms (Gina K. Designs)

Inks: Pixie, Pansy, Bluebird, Willow (CTMH), Black (Gina K. Designs)

Accessories: Maze Stencil (Photoplay), Dew Drops (misc.), Craft Foam

Floral Birthday Frame Card

This card has a rectangular opening in the centre. The frame surrounds that opening and the sentiment was stamped inside the card.

The floral images were all stamped using stamp sets from The Ton Stamps. They are layered stamps with coordinating dies. Once the floral pieces were cut, I arranged them around the frame and adhered them in place. I die cut some white flowers to cover the images on the back side of the card and added a second frame there as well. The darkest colours in the berries and flowers were brushed with a clear shimmer brush and I added some purple glitter gems around the card.

Products used are as follows:

Paper: Neenah Solar White Cardstock, Willow Cardstock (CTMH)

Stamps: Rose Labels plus dies, Berry Branches plus dies (The Ton Stamps), Birthday Greetings (CTMH)

Inks: Lime Rickey, Grass Skirt, Be Mine, Flirty Fuchsia, Grape Crush (Catherine Pooler)

Accessories: Stitched Scalloped Rectangle dies (Pink Fresh Studio), Clear Shimmer Brush, Purple Glitter Gems (CTMH)

CAS Embossed Front Cards

Clean and simple is usually not my style but I wanted to try something a little different.

Each of these cards has an embossed area around the image and that was done using dies. I have an embossing pad and mat for my die cutting machine and it creates a neat effect.

I used a stitched bracket die to emboss the lower right corner on this card. The flowers were stamped and coloured and the sentiment was stamped underneath. I added a few Liquid Pearl drops around the card and mounted the card front to the base using craft foam.

Some pointed circle dies were used to emboss the second card. They are nesting dies so I used two of them. The butterfly background was die cut from inside the circles and I inked a background to place behind that open section. The detailed butterfly was die cut in white and adhered to the inked background. A sentiment was stamped at the top and some Liquid Pearls were added.

Products used are Close To My Heart unless otherwise indicated:

Paper: White Daisy Cardstock, Hammermill White Cardstock

Stamps: From the Wildflowers, Modern Layered Floral (Pink Fresh Studio)

Inks: Intense Black (Hero Arts), DO Inks: Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet

Accessories: Layered Butterflies Dies, Stitched Bracket Dies, Tri-Blend Markers, Fine Tip Black Marker, Pointed Circle Dies (Spellbinders), Liquid Pearls: Ballerina, Dazzle, Garden, Craft Foam

Half Wreath with In the Meadows

This gorgeous card was CASEd from one created by Dilay Nacar for Pink Fresh Studio. I loved the colours she used and wreath cards are one of my favourites!

I used the same colour scheme (purple and turquoise) to stencil the flowers and leaves. They were die cut and adhered to a square frame that was stacked three times (I used a mini slimline frame and cut it to make a square). The background was foiled in purple and adhered to a card base. The flowers were adhered around the square using thin foam tape. I embossed a sentiment in white on purple cardstock and adhered it toward the right side of the card. A few gems were added to the centres of some of the flowers.

Products used are Pink Fresh Studio unless otherwise indicated:

Paper: White Daisy Cardstock, Pansy Cardstock (CTMH), Neenah Solar White Cardstock

Stamps: In the Meadows plus layering stencils and die, Celebrating You plus die

Inks: Versamark (CTMH), Candy Violet, Solt Lilac, Sunshine, Tidal Pond, Mermaid Cove, Aquamarine

Accessories: Mini Slimline Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Die, Lush Vines Foil Plate, Champagne Gems, Purple Foil (Spellbinders), White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Thin Foam Tape

Just Because Butterfly

This clean and simple card was inspired by a similar card made by Chrissie Stokes

I used three Distress Oxide inks to create a blue-purple background. That piece was used behind the die cut opening, for the butterfly and also the sentiment. The butterfly was die cut from that inked piece and the base butterfly piece cut from white cardstock. An opening was die cut into the card front and that inked piece was adhered behind that so it would show through. The sentiment was added at the bottom and the card front was adhered to the base with craft foam.

Products used are as follows:

Paper: White Daisy Cardstock (CTMH), Neenah Solar White Cardstock

Stamps: none

Inks: Distress Oxides - Seedless Preserves, Prize Ribbon, Mermaid Lagoon

Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Dies, Layered Butterfly Dies (CTMH), Distressed Baptista Collage Dies (Memory Box), Just Because Die (Creative Expressions), Craft Foam

Double Pop-Up Card - Cosmos Bunch

This is the same type of card as I posted yesterday (a Double Pop-Up Card) - here is the link to the tutorial

The first card in this style was made by stamping the images and colouring them which was very time consuming. I thought I would try a different method and stamp and then stencil the images instead. I had to mask some of the images to fill in the spaces. I used the coordinating layering stencils to colour the images. That ended up taking much MORE time than just colouring the images but I like the softer effect.

I created all the panels first - I used the same stencil on each panel before moving onto the next stencil. Each panel was outlined with a black marker to add more definition. Once those were finished, the base of the card was cut and scored. The sentiments were stamped in black and the panels were adhered to the base cardstock. The last step was to decorate the front with some gems. I really like how this turned out - it has a much softer appearance than the first card.

I am entering this card in the Pinkfresh Studio January challenge which is open for any of last year's challenge topics. This card is for the flower challenge.

Products used are as follows:

Paper: Capri Cardstock (CTMH), Hammermill White Cardstock

Stamps: Cosmos Bunch plus die and layering stencils, Always Uplifting (both Pinkfresh Studio)

Inks: Black (Gina K. Designs), Soft Lilac, Candy Violet, Sky Blue, Fresh Pear, Key Lime (Pinkfresh Studio)

Accessories: Black Fine Tip Marker (Sharpie), Lavender Gems, Emerald Gems (Pinkfresh Studio)

Double Pop-Up Card - Pink and Purple Flowers

I found a great tutorial to create a double pop-up card. It is much easier than it appears.

This is the first post for this type of card (another one coming tomorrow)... for this one, I chose to stamp the images and colour them. That was a very time consuming task...

The flowers are all from the same stamp set and some images were masked. They were coloured using a variety of markers. I also used a fine tipped black marker to draw lines around the edges to draw the eye toward the main image on each section. I added a few gems to the front of the card and there is a panel on the back that has also been stamped and allows a place to write a message.

The sentiments are from a few different stamps - all stamped in black. This card can stand nicely on the lower section for display purposes.

Products used are Close To My Heart unless otherwise indicated:

Paper: White Daisy Cardstock, Pansy Cardstock

Stamps: Friendship is a Blessing, You Brighten My Day, Create with Heart

Inks: Intense Black (Hero Arts)

Accessories: Various Markers, Pink Glitter Gems, Purple Glitter Gems

Double Trouble 101 plus TSOT 539

Welcome to two challenges - Double Trouble Challenge 101 and Try Stampin' on Tuesday Challenge 539!

The graphic for Double Trouble is shown below - please visit the Double Trouble website for detailed information.

This week, we are pairing with Try Stampin' on Tuesday for a sketch challenge and the sketch is shown below.

I pulled out some old winter papers with a silver and mint colour scheme. The penguin was stamped and coloured before die cutting. The papers were arranged as per the sketch and I die cut two circles to go behind the penguin. The sentiment is SO cute... It was adhered to the left of the penguin and the word "you" was adhered to an oval die cut and placed in the bottom right corner. A few silver gems were added and parts of the penguin were brushed with a clear shimmer brush.

Come and join us at Double Trouble and TSOT and show us how you interpret this challenge.

You have two weeks to link up your project.

We can’t wait to see what you create!

Products used are as follows:

AH 456 - Hello Stripes

Welcome to Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge 456!

It's a horizontal sketch this week but that can certainly be changed to a vertical format if desired. I kept mine in the horizontal format.

I had some leftover paper scraps from a set of bold papers that I used for the background strips. They were cut into various widths and trimmed on an angle at each end. I set them off centre to create more interest vs just adhering them at a 90 degree angle. The sentiment was created using narrow strips of the same papers and they were adhered to a white background. That piece was die cut and adhered to a black shadow. The outline piece for the sentiment was die cut from a set of label dies and I added some pink metallic thread underneath. The last step was to add coordinating sequins around the card.

Come and join us at Atlantic Hearts and show us how you interpret the sketch shown above.

You have until Sunday evening to link up your project.

We can't wait to see what you create!

Products used are as follows:

Paper: Misc. Patterned Papers (Doodlebug), White Daisy Cardstock, Black Cardstock, White Cards and Envelopes (CTMH)

Stamps: none

Inks: none

Accessories: Hello die (SSS), Stitched Nested Label dies (SU), Pink Metallic Thread, Misc. Sequins, Craft Foam

Happy Heart

This card was CASEd from one on the Pink Fresh Studio website. I have struggled with this particular stamp and set of layering stencils as they don't have a lot of detail but I really liked this design.

The flowers and leaves were stamped and then stencilled in blues and greens. The scalloped rectangle was die cut three times and stacked before light blue ink was added to the top layer. That was adhered to a stitched rectangle card front after the sentiment was stamped. I embossed the second part of the sentiment in white and placed it across the scalloped rectangle. Some leaves were die cut from vellum and those plus the stencilled images were arranged around the edges of the card and trimmed. Some Sapphire gems were added to the flowers. The stitched rectangle was adhered with foam tape to the card base.

Products used are as follows:

Paper: White Daisy Cardstock, Black Cardstock, Vellum (CTMH), Hammermill White Cardstock

Stamps: Choose Hope plus layering stencils and die (PFS)

Inks: Black (GKD), Carolina, Bluebird, Sapphire, Willow, Clover, Versamark (CTMH)

Accessories: Stitched Rectangle dies (SSS), Stitched Scalloped Rectangle dies (PFS), Arrange a Wreath dies (SU), Sapphire Gems (PFS), White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Craft Foam, Foam Tape

Concentric Circle Cards

This is a two for one project... the first card results in circles that are left over and I decided to use them on a second card.

The first card didn't photograph well - it looks like the circles were adhered on top of the patterned paper but they are actually cut out of each carstock square and layered behind the patterned paper. Perhaps setting each layer on thin foam tape would have resulted in a better picture.

The circles were die cut from a various shades of pink cardstock plus the checked paper and layered behind each other. The entire front was adhered to a piece of Wild Berry cardstock and then to a card base. I stamped three butterflies and coloured and die cut them. They were added around the circles. I brushed the butterfly wings with a clear shimmer brush and added a sentiment at the bottom. A fine tip black marker was used to draw tiny dots around the butterflies.

The leftover circles from the first card were used on the second card. These ones were adhered on top of the green card front. I stamped a flower and stem and die cut them. A small gem was added inside the flower and the sentiment was stamped at the bottom.

Products used are as follows:

Paper: Misc. Patterned Paper, White Daisy Cardstock, Wild Berry Cardstock, Pixie Cardstock, Flamingo Cardstock, Ballerina Cardstock, Black Cardstock (all CTMH), Neenah Solar White Cardstock

Stamps: Chelsea Gardens Cardmaking plus dies (CTMH), A Bit of Everything plus dies (Stamp Market)

Inks: Intense Black (Hero Arts), Wild Berry, Emerald (CTMH)

Accessories: Stitched Circle Dies (GMD), Stitched Nested Label Dies (SU), Tri-Blend Markers, Clear Shimmer Brush (CTMH), Emerald Gem (misc.), Fine Tip Black Marker, Thin Craft Foam

CD 479 - Simply... Trees

Welcome to Colour Dare Challenge 479!

Choose at least four colours from the graphic below - black, white and gold are free to use (and cannot be included in the four colour choices).

I chose Peach, Scarlet, Glacier, Shortbread, Sundance and Sapphire.

The background was created using Distress Oxide inks and I blended the colours in diagonal lines. The colours at the corners are just barely visible (Sundance and Peach) as the edges were inked with sapphire and then black. The tree stamp is a full A2 size stamp and it is designed to be rotated 180 degrees and stamped a second time to create a full forest. That was done with black pigment ink and then embossed. It also created a HUGE mess... black ink everywhere during the clean-up. The birds were stamped in the opening in the trees and a sentiment was stamped in black and adhered to Shortbread cardstock. The tree front was adhered to a black card base.

Come and join us at Colour Dare and show us how you use the colours from the gird shown above.

You have two weeks to link up your project.

We can't wait to see what you create!

Products used are as follows:

Paper: Black Cardstock, White Daisy Cardstock, Shortbread Cardstock (CTMH)

Offset Trees Card

I found this idea on Pinterest and it was originally created by Heidi from My Little Stamping Blog

I used three distress oxide inks to blend a backgound and then stamped a tree image in black. That piece was cut into three strips of different widths. The white background was embossed with a woodgrain embossing folder and adhered to a turquoise base. The strips were placed at varying heights and a sentiment was stamped and placed underneath.

Products used are as follows:

Paper: White Daisy Cardstock, Lagoon Cardstock (CTMH), Neenah Solar White Cardstock

Stamps: Winter Woods (SU), Treasure Life (CTMH)

Inks: Black (Hero Arts), DO Inks - Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean

Accessories: Woodgrain Embossing Folder

Thinking of You Triangles

This card was CASEd from a gorgeous card created by one of the Pink Fresh Studio artists. The one I found was one in bright pink so I decided to change up the colour scheme.

The background was foiled in gold using a triangle foil plate. I die cut the stitched border and marked the edges so I knew where it would be adhered. The triangles were coloured using various shades of turquoise. The stitched scalloped rectangle was die cut three times, stacked and placed on top of the coloured triangles so the gold lines would show around the edges. A sentiment was embossed in gold and some leaves were die cut and added on either side of the sentiment. Some gold gems finished off the card.

Products used are as follows:

Paper: White Daisy Cardstock, Gold Foil (CTMH), Neenah Solar White Cardstock

Stamps: Celebrating You plus dies (Pink Fresh Studio)

Inks: Versamark

Accessories: Abstract Triangle Foil Plate, Stitched Scalloped Rectangle dies, Gold Gems (Pink Fresh Studio), Whimsical Leaves dies (Creative Expressions), Gold Foil, Gold Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Tri-Blend Markers

You are the Sweetest - Floral Wreath

For the first time, I am entering the PinkFresh Studio monthly challenge. This is a big step for me as I love their products and artwork but I never feel that mine is up to the same standard.

January is a month where you can pick any challenge from the previous year so I chose the wreath challenge.

The card base was foiled in gold on black cardstock and adhered to gold foil paper. I used the stitched scalloped circle die as a guide for my wreath placement but very little of that actually shows. The images were stamped, stencilled and die cut. I also die cut the same images with vellum and adhered that slightly offset to the back of the stencilled images. The sentiment was stamped in black on a light pink cardstock piece and the images were adhered around the wreath. I added some Ballet Slipper gems to the flowers and gold gems around the card.

The challenge can be found at the PinkFresh Studio link

Products used are as follows:

Paper: White Daisy Cardstock, Black Cardstock, Ballerina Cardstock, Vellum, Gold Foil (all CTMH), Neenah Solar White Cardstock

Stamps: Citrus Blooms stamp, layering stencils and die, Blossoms and Berries stamp (both PinkFresh Studio)

Inks: Black, Ballet Slipper, Sparkling Rose, Bubble Gum, Fresh Pear, Grassy Knoll, Peach Fuzz, Apricot, Lemon Whip, Sunshine (all PinkFresh Studio)

Accessories: Abstract Triangle Foil Plate, Stitched Scalloped Circle Die, Ballet Slipper Gems, Gold Gems (all PinkFresh Studio), Gold Foil

No-one Compares to You Foiled Flowers

The flowers along the bottom of this card were foiled using a turquoise foil. I coloured them (roughly) using inks and a blending pen. The center of the largest flower was coloured using a yellow shimmer brush.

The sentiment was silver embossed and die cut. A strip of turquoise shimmer trim was added across the top of the card and the sentiment was adhered on top of that piece using foam tape. I adhered the card front to a piece of silver foil and then green cardstock. A few clear gems were added to the font.

Products used are as follows:

Paper: White Daisy Cardstock, Silver Foil, White Card and Envelopes (CTMH), Green Cardstock (scrapbook.com)

Stamps: Celebrating You plus dies (Pink Fresh Studio)

Inks: Grass Skirt, Lime Rickey, All That Jazz (Catherine Pooler), Versamark

Accessories: Sweet Blooms Border Foil Plate, Turquoise Foil (Spellbinders), Teal Shimmer Trim, Lemonade Shimmer Brush (CTMH), Silver Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Clear Gems, Foam Tape, Blending Pen

Thinking of You

A white background can be enhanced by using strips of white cardstock placed on an angle. It adds much dimension to the card.

That is the technique I used here. The strips are a half inch wide and were adhered approximately the same width apart on a diagonal line. I stamped the floral spray in various colours and die cut it. The sentiment was embossed in silver and die cut as well. The two images were placed on the card and some coordinating Liquid Pearls were added around the floral spray.

Products used are as follows:

Paper: Neenah Solar White Cardstock

Stamps: Multi-Layering Floral stamp and die, Celebrating You stamp and die (Pink Fresh Studio)

Inks: Fiesta Blue, Suede Shoes, Lime Rickey, Grass Skirt (Catherine Pooler), Versamark

Accessories: Silver Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Liquid Pearls - Robin Egg, Garden

Striped Vellum Card

This is such an easy technique but the card looks so classy!

The coloured stripes were chosen in various pastel shades and adhered to a piece of cardstock on a diagonal slant. That piece was trimmed and a vellum embossed image was added to the corner. A sentiment was embossed on one of the same colour cardstock pieces and adhered with thin foam tape to the bottom of the card. The entire front was adhered to the card base with thin craft foam. Easy!

Products used are as follows:

Paper: Cardstock - Lagoon, Mint, Wisteria, Peach, Ballerina, Sage, Lemonade, Carolina, Vellum, White Cards and Envelopes (all CTMH)

Stamps: Celebrating You plus dies , Cosmos Bunch plus die (Pink Fresh Studio)

Inks: Versamark

Accessories: White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Thin Foam Tape, Thin Craft Foam

Card Set - Add your own Sentiment

This set of cards is unique in that there is a "hello" sentiment on each but I have included several smaller stamped sentiments that can be added to the card. The recipient of this set can customize the sentiment for each card as desired.

All cards are the same design but there are eight colour schemes. The floral image was stamped, stencilled and die cut and added to an embossed white panel. The border cardstock and the die cut "hello" are coordinated to the inks used on the floral images.

Products used are as follows:

Paper: Cardstock - White Daisy, Black, Wildberry, Ballerina, Smoothie, Bluebird, Ruby, Lagoon, Lemonade, Pansy, White Cards and Envelopes (CTMH)

Stamps: Charming Floral Border plus layering stencils and die (PFS)

Inks: Willow, Clover, Peach, Smoothie, Tangerine, Wild Berry, Sangria, Carolina, Bluebird, Lemonade, Saffron, Lilac, Pansy, Mint, Lagoon, Ballerina, Pixie, Black (CTMH)

Accessories: Phrase Builder - Hello dies (PFS), Various Embossing Folders, Craft Foam

Daisy Wreath Cards x 4

Hot foiling is a new experience for me and I am still learning a lot about it. Each of these cards was hot foiled. Two of them have a foiled background and all have a foiled wreath.

The first two cards have wreath images that were foiled in a silver holographic colour. Layering stencils were used to add colour to the image. One background was foiled with the same colour (the random triangles) and the other was stencilled in a light grey. The sentiments were stamped and a few glitter gems were added around each card.

The second pair of cards were foiled in gold and the background of the first one was foiled with a bright pink colour. The sentiments were die cut from gold foil paper and adhered to vellum and then to the card. Some glitter gems were also added to each card.

Products used are as follows:

Paper: White Daisy Cardstock, Wild Berry Cardstock, Wisteria Cardstock, Gold Foil, Vellum (CTMH), Hammermill White Cardstock

Stamps: Daisy Wreath plus die, layering stencils and foil plate (PFS)

Inks: Pewter (CTMH), Wisteria, Hydrangea, Ultraviolet (Altenew), Ballet Slipper, Sparkling Rose, Bubblegum, Fresh Pear, Grassy Knoll, Sunshine (PFS)

Accessories: Artbooking Cricut Collection, Lemonade Shimmer Brush, Clear Shimmer Brush, Gold Shimmer Brush, Julep Glitter Gems, Wild Berry Glitter Gems (CTMH), Abstract Triangles Foil Plate (PFS), Triple Weave Stencil (Picket Fence)

Enjoy,

Little Mouse Book Binding Card

Craft Roulette last Friday offered some challenging parameters on the spinning wheel... these were the requirements:

- book binding card, blue + purple + silver + one colour of choice, rodent and vertical stripes

I decided to pull out some reward stamps from CTMH that I have had for a while - there is a collection of several little mouse stamps and they were perfect for this challenge.

This is a standard size card except the "binding" at the side makes the working area a square shape. I cut several stitched scalloped circles in different colours (I used pink as my extra colour). The circles were arranged in the various colours and the mouse image was stamped on white in the centre. That image was coloured and a sentiment was added at the bottom. I cut some thin cardstock strips to add to the left side (vertical stripes) and also added some twine around the binding section.

The inside was stamped with some hearts and coloured in the same colour scheme as the front.

Products used are as follows:

Paper: Cardstock - White Daisy, Pansy, Carolina, Ballerina, Silver Foil Paper (CTMH)

Stamps: Little Mouse Wishes, Little Love Mouse, For Your Heart, To My Bestie (CTMH)

Inks: Intense Black (Hero Arts)

Accessories: Stitched Scalloped Circles (Pink Fresh Studio), White Twine, Pink Twine (misc.), Silver Glitter Gems (CTMH), Silver and Pink Metallic Thread, Markers, Black Fine Tip Marker

Enjoy,
