The flowers were stamped and stencilled and I added clear Stickles to the centres. The other sections were inked with various stencils or simply inked to cover the rectangle. I die cut a sentiment and backed it with vellum. The hearts and the smaller sentiment were stamped and the postage collage front was added to a turquoise background and then to a white card base. </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuthm0Hk1TBKHDmGDahzz3NN_sy0Eg9Z2eW-n4z2zMFCeT6NCM1ZEaotJflRtWZdo5idSAN_-uGfxaHTcJDJFEnBQjZsyNbNBhLM_f_Un9xfN2ObBwt3pRC0Qu7wbpOwtFsClKMqupPOWjv8jCgUCyJVVwedz6yPgoWrG0t2IWKuUjMNLkmTKaChOi7eI/s800/Postage%20Collage%20Friend.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="689" data-original-width="800" height="552" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuthm0Hk1TBKHDmGDahzz3NN_sy0Eg9Z2eW-n4z2zMFCeT6NCM1ZEaotJflRtWZdo5idSAN_-uGfxaHTcJDJFEnBQjZsyNbNBhLM_f_Un9xfN2ObBwt3pRC0Qu7wbpOwtFsClKMqupPOWjv8jCgUCyJVVwedz6yPgoWrG0t2IWKuUjMNLkmTKaChOi7eI/w640-h552/Postage%20Collage%20Friend.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div><p></p><p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: times;">Enjoy,</span></p><p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: times;">Alyson</span></p>Alyson Mayohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17324666493874296791noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5654644859016918128.post-22428276025472136702024-03-17T07:00:00.001-04:002024-03-17T07:00:00.169-04:00Paper Airplane Mice Card<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;"> This adorable card was CASEd from one designed by a friend of mine, Melanie Hungerford. I asked if she would be ok if I replicated her card and she said absolutely!</span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">I die cut the postage collage piece and stencilled clouds on the top half. Grass was stencilled in the lower left box and I stamped two hearts in the lower right box. The mice were stamped, coloured and die cut and added around the card. A couple of postage images were also placed around the mice. The card front was set on dark blue cardstock and then onto a white card base. Super cute! </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuu-eKprF6mTFmCiC0BdUhz6eI6F3rwgwdK2dH1s35Wcorc2p9b7Xt-zW8dYb_BsM2Zt7qs8gFoSyigv8bzCMa174a3WM-Iq-w1KCPzSBJ96A1F3EoEMgRLA_3lvXsrDMqKOmCcKWuiTFs-qdvV4QRwH-H6yS9-WQA95tFuyJCmqq8yWjq1ENarvTYpbg/s800/Paper%20Airplane%20Mice.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="680" data-original-width="800" height="544" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuu-eKprF6mTFmCiC0BdUhz6eI6F3rwgwdK2dH1s35Wcorc2p9b7Xt-zW8dYb_BsM2Zt7qs8gFoSyigv8bzCMa174a3WM-Iq-w1KCPzSBJ96A1F3EoEMgRLA_3lvXsrDMqKOmCcKWuiTFs-qdvV4QRwH-H6yS9-WQA95tFuyJCmqq8yWjq1ENarvTYpbg/w640-h544/Paper%20Airplane%20Mice.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div><p></p><p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: times;">Enjoy, </span></p><p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: times;">Alyson</span></p>Alyson Mayohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17324666493874296791noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5654644859016918128.post-24421486151948297862024-03-16T07:00:00.001-04:002024-03-16T07:00:00.259-04:00Matchbook Fun Fold Card <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;"> This cute card is one I found on YouTube. A matchbook card has been around for ages but this one has a twist to it. </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">The front flap provides an opening to another section in the back. I used some Prima patterned papers and purple cardstock for the colour theme. I stamped and coloured some butterflies and added a sentiment to the front. There is a place to write a message inside the card. </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg62s_AYbSwlympShaWOKZUxqFvWOsMtHyScAbbyIcdjMmcUZnS0g5G-RThsjbGSOos05cxVR-M7Vkwxc3ub941jlHAvPoW3z2GQNs6CTOfzOmcevxLxe3AZiYWHWiIG9nE8ChqGh31MeWtNidSYlNjydzt_2ug8f26f2WPjnh-XQI2N3hdYU984AtEB6U/s800/Friendship%20Matchbook%20Fun%20Fold.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="800" height="512" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg62s_AYbSwlympShaWOKZUxqFvWOsMtHyScAbbyIcdjMmcUZnS0g5G-RThsjbGSOos05cxVR-M7Vkwxc3ub941jlHAvPoW3z2GQNs6CTOfzOmcevxLxe3AZiYWHWiIG9nE8ChqGh31MeWtNidSYlNjydzt_2ug8f26f2WPjnh-XQI2N3hdYU984AtEB6U/w640-h512/Friendship%20Matchbook%20Fun%20Fold.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div><p></p><p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: times;">Enjoy,</span></p><p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: times;">Alyson</span></p>Alyson Mayohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17324666493874296791noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5654644859016918128.post-47376881482453854012024-03-15T07:00:00.001-04:002024-03-15T07:00:00.133-04:00DT 162 - Basket of Peonies <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;"> Welcome to Double Trouble Challenge 162!</span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">This challenge is all about flowers - please see the <a href="https://doubletroublechallenge.blogspot.com/2024/03/Challenge-162.html"><span style="color: #cc0000;">Double Trouble Challenge Blog</span></a> for detailed information. </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqvjiWg6MSrgRnKaMSNH5tndFLt5UHt5bNIfAlm2-upZ1HRwtMhjMEe6WuL2jOo47bZShbyuAUlHGVliAT9VvrvM7p39ON6IJkZ_XWwpjrF4GRcF3b2gORYOnLpNoGA0QpcWhObwmThMsLXKxBe17LNkHTKTlaTcvgA-TqozuWRCNGBrr1P3azZGIgIb0/s576/DT%20162.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="576" data-original-width="576" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqvjiWg6MSrgRnKaMSNH5tndFLt5UHt5bNIfAlm2-upZ1HRwtMhjMEe6WuL2jOo47bZShbyuAUlHGVliAT9VvrvM7p39ON6IJkZ_XWwpjrF4GRcF3b2gORYOnLpNoGA0QpcWhObwmThMsLXKxBe17LNkHTKTlaTcvgA-TqozuWRCNGBrr1P3azZGIgIb0/s320/DT%20162.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcYKjDFOhyY6CqzDNAE3n7NWtDiUHZ0NHhGPW8yVINGRnhLbKCcDkGCbW6QT7gJ9b5K-J3BmfHHfqOS-nsF-KTZIncVn1ytcmBlJyT_KC4COW9ZGsAUs8613Q5-MJ8L3UNAvqyJj51M6JN1GKyJmOjtKvXkHMXr9JHDzubi2M-Nb6upzldQiq2aHSonh4/s2048/For%20162.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1622" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcYKjDFOhyY6CqzDNAE3n7NWtDiUHZ0NHhGPW8yVINGRnhLbKCcDkGCbW6QT7gJ9b5K-J3BmfHHfqOS-nsF-KTZIncVn1ytcmBlJyT_KC4COW9ZGsAUs8613Q5-MJ8L3UNAvqyJj51M6JN1GKyJmOjtKvXkHMXr9JHDzubi2M-Nb6upzldQiq2aHSonh4/s320/For%20162.jpeg" width="253" /></a></div><p></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">I loved the purple and yellow flowers in the Beautiful Blossoms collage (our partner challenge) and that is what inspired my card. I stamped, stencilled and die cut several peonies. The only basket I have (no bonnets in my stash) is the one I used - I inked that piece and filled it with the peonies. The purple background was hot foiled and added to dark purple cardstock on a white base. The inside of the card also has a purple mat and then a white panel. The basket was placed on the front and I die cut extra white pieces to cover the back so all the messy work wouldn't show since the basket overhangs the edge of the card. I added an extra flower and two butterflies to the inside panel and a hot foiled sentiment was placed at the bottom of the basket. Liquid pearls were added to the basket border and gold Sickles were used on the flower centres. </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh41xeln1o5TwDReKUdLeVWm0W5n17sqovbAal0xIvjBmK31rP2VHEijinZ-2GG3FEgpGGPGS9CwRQmcltWgBCHtTnGnkwMtizcM0Zl6DeolfFNXjYJU9JIQI4qstYaRmmnQp6D0RCZII7bSzCioZasdrKnW87bk65QCJkdHljGukRKb8j70gTQXxB7Zdc/s800/Basket%20of%20Peonies.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="652" data-original-width="800" height="522" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh41xeln1o5TwDReKUdLeVWm0W5n17sqovbAal0xIvjBmK31rP2VHEijinZ-2GG3FEgpGGPGS9CwRQmcltWgBCHtTnGnkwMtizcM0Zl6DeolfFNXjYJU9JIQI4qstYaRmmnQp6D0RCZII7bSzCioZasdrKnW87bk65QCJkdHljGukRKb8j70gTQXxB7Zdc/w640-h522/Basket%20of%20Peonies.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCQ-IZvgSV-3vS5cxAAB5j6ygE1Spz0W4X7aOVg4-VyeiBIN1Y-NiHK3AdNPuVrrVa1Q83KFPf9Jvm5hPdLLFZu-X9Sv-WHzceNWrIFwne1JqLETZXWSv-ZYM_PkkuliTWuvrgHfPxoctVMMTccz7dbM5CNPH4G4xmIwr9QroKDq-LLXI8Krb9QuvcCy8/s800/Basket%20of%20Peonies%20-%20open%20.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="695" data-original-width="800" height="556" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCQ-IZvgSV-3vS5cxAAB5j6ygE1Spz0W4X7aOVg4-VyeiBIN1Y-NiHK3AdNPuVrrVa1Q83KFPf9Jvm5hPdLLFZu-X9Sv-WHzceNWrIFwne1JqLETZXWSv-ZYM_PkkuliTWuvrgHfPxoctVMMTccz7dbM5CNPH4G4xmIwr9QroKDq-LLXI8Krb9QuvcCy8/w640-h556/Basket%20of%20Peonies%20-%20open%20.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div><p></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">Come and join us at <a href="https://doubletroublechallenge.blogspot.com/2024/03/Challenge-162.html"><span style="color: #cc0000;">Double Trouble</span></a> and show us how you interpret this week's challenge. </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">You have two weeks to link up your project. </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">I am also linking up my card with the <a href="https://beautifulblossomschallenge.blogspot.com"><span style="color: #134f5c;">Beautiful Blossoms challenge</span></a> (florals). </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">We can't wait to see what you create! </span></p><p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: times;">Enjoy,</span></p><p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: times;">Alyson</span></p>Alyson Mayohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17324666493874296791noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5654644859016918128.post-33610725516634977372024-03-15T01:00:00.001-04:002024-03-15T01:00:00.140-04:00MTTCC 82 - Nativity Silhouette <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;"></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOo7lbBmp2gfjtVScYHEaWrjm9DnnU4jU81ztVf_EXFqWBIHn4dPHafflQ7etit2Mh0_WVDzMcdywg1wAxDBP43iQw9agDxfOojiJ1IpwOvGpc_xUK-VFIUMv_zfcQ_wu5A_u-JBvynIdnPwbKI7yaEPynWJsnZ5UuvCXCCCSnRhtfbC9FMC5Zp7RMV_A/s250/MTTCC%20-%20Blog%20Badge.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="95" data-original-width="250" height="152" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOo7lbBmp2gfjtVScYHEaWrjm9DnnU4jU81ztVf_EXFqWBIHn4dPHafflQ7etit2Mh0_WVDzMcdywg1wAxDBP43iQw9agDxfOojiJ1IpwOvGpc_xUK-VFIUMv_zfcQ_wu5A_u-JBvynIdnPwbKI7yaEPynWJsnZ5UuvCXCCCSnRhtfbC9FMC5Zp7RMV_A/w400-h152/MTTCC%20-%20Blog%20Badge.jpeg" width="400" /></a></span></div><p></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">Welcome to My Time to Craft Christmas Challenge 82!</span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">The theme for this challenge is baby's first Christmas or baby Jesus. </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">Since I have no purpose for a baby's first Christmas card, I chose baby Jesus for the theme. The trick here is the inside has an additional hidden flap. </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">The flowers and leaves were stamped, coloured and die cut and arranged both on the outside and the inside of the flip components. The company recently aded some new sentiments to use on the flip portion so I pulled out the die and went to work. </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">This one uses a SMILE sentiment. I die cut some flowers and leaves in coordinating colours and added them both on the front and inside the flip component. A message was stamped on the back of the flip part as well. There is a place to write a message on the back. </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLVA8xx3coOxH-Eu5WsRdoKqybMJkxx1paLi0rVypslUAGFuo_MBVoa8AetC0DeGdCG8KUEm6JUmhLw97VmyQRQ7rQSnnqsoCI-TXOoOI6f3Z2gedVf3r62b8Ek0GHFmHQncqlpg9br4tYckRf_cnKcTMihmpdu5zHNjv3OpZtMOGmkLNDsEMcUNghR6E/s800/Smile%20Flip%20Card%20-%20closed.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="800" data-original-width="695" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLVA8xx3coOxH-Eu5WsRdoKqybMJkxx1paLi0rVypslUAGFuo_MBVoa8AetC0DeGdCG8KUEm6JUmhLw97VmyQRQ7rQSnnqsoCI-TXOoOI6f3Z2gedVf3r62b8Ek0GHFmHQncqlpg9br4tYckRf_cnKcTMihmpdu5zHNjv3OpZtMOGmkLNDsEMcUNghR6E/w556-h640/Smile%20Flip%20Card%20-%20closed.jpeg" width="556" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4f61vy1OCPc0mA5p-C6ixK8JxQXMgqyxv2B1FmWRi36DkvgRPbI455bKDz-u8DL8zjny9yMYItQc0gkhkiTlIi28QQPcGsOgLuJTETYdOtcxnRGIsTiL2Eb_Cy377LmvS0CyIwCmP4q-thUAiDIzT8mmmcX5Hmua2YSh2egYcJoHXMFb29mvPY8mvWyU/s800/Smile%20Flip%20Card%20-%20open.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="719" data-original-width="800" height="576" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4f61vy1OCPc0mA5p-C6ixK8JxQXMgqyxv2B1FmWRi36DkvgRPbI455bKDz-u8DL8zjny9yMYItQc0gkhkiTlIi28QQPcGsOgLuJTETYdOtcxnRGIsTiL2Eb_Cy377LmvS0CyIwCmP4q-thUAiDIzT8mmmcX5Hmua2YSh2egYcJoHXMFb29mvPY8mvWyU/w640-h576/Smile%20Flip%20Card%20-%20open.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div><p></p><p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: times;">Enjoy,</span></p><p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: times;">Alyson</span></p>Alyson Mayohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17324666493874296791noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5654644859016918128.post-73984665998649647342024-03-11T07:00:00.001-04:002024-03-11T07:00:00.239-04:00AH 568 - Masculine Birthday Card with Butterfly <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;"></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgNe9taD0IAPDCq16EnDzTE6J_6HmqOdwbfePaODEtJxZWb7PyOQZ81-sIHbNB2a44v9cGnnSk0IaJS6SAEe2kYuDbot_sXtouKx1jJ2-pl3D7hr6vSGGOmqPvPjp_0rQxqh8ihocvvnAPiW7DCmrutGFvwy8TbhxjIRhKlewmQFaoiCaCV-Hp2M7Kar4/s320/AH%20Blog%20Post%20Badge.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="101" data-original-width="320" height="126" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgNe9taD0IAPDCq16EnDzTE6J_6HmqOdwbfePaODEtJxZWb7PyOQZ81-sIHbNB2a44v9cGnnSk0IaJS6SAEe2kYuDbot_sXtouKx1jJ2-pl3D7hr6vSGGOmqPvPjp_0rQxqh8ihocvvnAPiW7DCmrutGFvwy8TbhxjIRhKlewmQFaoiCaCV-Hp2M7Kar4/w400-h126/AH%20Blog%20Post%20Badge.jpg" width="400" /></a></span></div><p></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">Welcome to Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge 568!</span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">The sketch is shown in vertical format - that can be altered as long as the sketch is still visible in your project. </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixBn4hMQzqBNuDehT438bAawyXk8mhPTBZMo9ozr2VgJvWnk88_iJF0NypUXskxz1daxyx0JXR6I0inWCLx57E4eiE4-YauVranIRZyMqCAQjMBm0hMzPAQcc6X5tzgtFvAfoJSEeDQOyhe9Lk50LtXYcvluUk24QG_Nff2H3Vs49QKcWolNFwfGWwIsM/s800/AH%20568.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="800" data-original-width="574" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixBn4hMQzqBNuDehT438bAawyXk8mhPTBZMo9ozr2VgJvWnk88_iJF0NypUXskxz1daxyx0JXR6I0inWCLx57E4eiE4-YauVranIRZyMqCAQjMBm0hMzPAQcc6X5tzgtFvAfoJSEeDQOyhe9Lk50LtXYcvluUk24QG_Nff2H3Vs49QKcWolNFwfGWwIsM/s320/AH%20568.jpeg" width="230" /></a></div><p></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">I stayed true to the sketch with a circle for the sentiment and the same repeated patterned for the pieces. Three squares were die cut - the middle one from gold foil and the others from gold glitter paper. I arranged them on the front and added a black die cut image and a black sentiment. I stencilled some clouds and covered that piece with vellum. I die cut a ton of tiny pieces to go with the white frame and many of them were inked for dimension. I arranged the flowers and greenery around the frame and that was set on a brick embossed background that was a lightly brushed with grey ink so the bricks would stand out. I added a small sentiment at the bottom and decided to also add a bird to reflect spring. I added clear Stickles to the centres the flowers and also to the dots on the pink berries. Love how this turned out! </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEih5GWkTplrY4_hkYA_kmCUrdJfuA4iaXVtaBRD6CWPuOlR0NrovFxLC3Nv4FR2_VtcgHC_fkN3ozhWKZ_8Qs2DxgHFDSVsK4QzFFDTxL38YVQgevUFBIKH9NRp8ZL9zeC7tkQ4O0vLplWo2mEZ89RlCvpPnVzCN2Rh3vKVvctU5jKVKAc2vPwz9loQ6ZI/s800/Bluebird%20Window%20Card.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="800" data-original-width="669" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEih5GWkTplrY4_hkYA_kmCUrdJfuA4iaXVtaBRD6CWPuOlR0NrovFxLC3Nv4FR2_VtcgHC_fkN3ozhWKZ_8Qs2DxgHFDSVsK4QzFFDTxL38YVQgevUFBIKH9NRp8ZL9zeC7tkQ4O0vLplWo2mEZ89RlCvpPnVzCN2Rh3vKVvctU5jKVKAc2vPwz9loQ6ZI/w536-h640/Bluebird%20Window%20Card.jpeg" width="536" /></a></div><p></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">Come and join us at <a href="http://cutitupchallenges.blogspot.com"><span style="color: #cc0000;">Cut It Up</span></a> and show us your colours of spring projects. </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">You have two weeks to link up with this challenge. </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">We can't wait to see what you create!</span></p><p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: times;">Enjoy, </span></p><p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: times;">Alyson</span></p>Alyson Mayohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17324666493874296791noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5654644859016918128.post-82616012092549856482024-03-08T01:00:00.001-05:002024-03-08T01:00:00.245-05:00MTTC 529 - Gnome Fun Fold Card <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">Welcome to My Time to Craft Challenge 529!</span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">The theme for this challenge is fantasy. </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">Fantasy requirements are always difficult for me as I don't have a lot of stamps or dies with fantasy-type images. For this card, I pulled out one of my very few gnome stamp sets.</span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">The image was stamped and coloured. I used an ususual colour scheme for me - the idea came from the Color Cubes that I have (digital version). The gnome was coloured in shades of tan and brown and die cut, along with the sentiment. I folded a card so a piece of coloured vellum hangs over the right side. One in a while, though, there is an occasion that does call for a layout and this was one of those times. </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">A former music student of mine invited me to attend a music festival where two of his ensembles were performing. I spent the day in Toronto with him and his groups - I had not seen him since June of 1997 when he finished grade 8. It was the most amazing experience - getting to know him as an adult and seeing him work with his students was so very rewarding. </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">He has told me on many occasions that I am the reason he decided to teach intermediate music - and that alone warms my heart. As a teacher, that is what we hope for - that we make a difference in students' lives. </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">I screenshot the post I put on Facebook along with his reply. This is why I became a teacher - this is truly what matters! </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9fQPaCbGEzqtrGgRLp5jTlTZY4Gu7UyuNCxLOmmUl1WmRawHEaEftfsOSC9_IHu7qhtcdfFOS2X5oJDbzoqYvEa2EVIuUVHW0FddKlR1oAtA6AshHSM1RZQkcQQasYaCDBQg-YXed15BcwU7wdjkopEZC8I9UQvUNLMc86HBs5eC-LqeeN5vKB1KqrVU/s3000/Troy%20LO.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3000" data-original-width="2930" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9fQPaCbGEzqtrGgRLp5jTlTZY4Gu7UyuNCxLOmmUl1WmRawHEaEftfsOSC9_IHu7qhtcdfFOS2X5oJDbzoqYvEa2EVIuUVHW0FddKlR1oAtA6AshHSM1RZQkcQQasYaCDBQg-YXed15BcwU7wdjkopEZC8I9UQvUNLMc86HBs5eC-LqeeN5vKB1KqrVU/w626-h640/Troy%20LO.jpeg" width="626" /></a></div><p></p><p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: times;">Enjoy, </span></p><p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: times;">Alyson</span></p>Alyson Mayohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17324666493874296791noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5654644859016918128.post-31949965985758388242024-03-05T11:19:00.001-05:002024-03-05T11:19:22.963-05:00TSOT 642 - Purple Flowers <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;"> Welcome to Try a Sketch on Tuesday Challenge 642! </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDAzyGmVcrsmFTUpoefJ9UwJSc1FvfWEzmZNoTMPqrJCQMTM3z2BiKp6tZaNS7wVIPpIC4iXjpMkB1Up7jmyutsKcfFr66iValvISNc19j5Nvr7w0hAq9mBnxdmLp0SXUS0IoS9ZfCRPsJyauRt-GuJ1gf21LQ83hNtw2W5O_n3GSm1m-J2P8zVG2lg08/s800/TSOT%20642.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="800" data-original-width="635" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDAzyGmVcrsmFTUpoefJ9UwJSc1FvfWEzmZNoTMPqrJCQMTM3z2BiKp6tZaNS7wVIPpIC4iXjpMkB1Up7jmyutsKcfFr66iValvISNc19j5Nvr7w0hAq9mBnxdmLp0SXUS0IoS9ZfCRPsJyauRt-GuJ1gf21LQ83hNtw2W5O_n3GSm1m-J2P8zVG2lg08/s320/TSOT%20642.jpg" width="254" /></a></div><p></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">This sketch has a lot happening - diagonal stripes, a horizontal strip, a centre focal point and a sentiment. It took me a while to plan my card with each of the elements. </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">I die cut a stitched floral background from medium grey cardstock and then die cut three long strips with a leaf pattern. They were adhered across the card front and I added a strip of silver shimmer tape just below the centre line. The flowers and leaves were stamped, stencilled and die cut and added according to placement on the sketch. The sentiment was hot foiled and placed at the top. Some iridescent gems were added to the card front and I adhered the card front to a white mat and then a dark purple base. The centres of the flowers were brushed with clear Stickles to add some shine. </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmIR7I6qYk98c-hOtI-jwWyG2r5ccPctxX5QU1ev3kt4g3KI1WTRuZhrT_GfRNzL-G510G5gmd2ZmBf7XMko2WTLGKGzoWXls4hLCGHLoo3SaKqrA-XVxJg00FY9sTC8Vgirn_s6eRbWINCF7e2Jh9CAWvmFhIkAKVIjOyiCIkEdUhtyXiIqFiB6nhvLg/s800/Just%20a%20Note%20Purple%20Flowers.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="800" data-original-width="665" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmIR7I6qYk98c-hOtI-jwWyG2r5ccPctxX5QU1ev3kt4g3KI1WTRuZhrT_GfRNzL-G510G5gmd2ZmBf7XMko2WTLGKGzoWXls4hLCGHLoo3SaKqrA-XVxJg00FY9sTC8Vgirn_s6eRbWINCF7e2Jh9CAWvmFhIkAKVIjOyiCIkEdUhtyXiIqFiB6nhvLg/w532-h640/Just%20a%20Note%20Purple%20Flowers.jpeg" width="532" /></a></div><p></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">Come and join us at <a href="http://trystampinontuesday.blogspot.com/2024/03/challenge-642.html"><span style="color: #cc0000;">TSOT</span></a> and show us how you interpret this week's sketch. </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">You have two weeks to link up your project. </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">We can't wait to see what you create!</span></p><p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: times;">Enjoy,</span></p><p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: times;">Alyson</span></p>Alyson Mayohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17324666493874296791noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5654644859016918128.post-19977375413334175332024-03-04T07:00:00.003-05:002024-03-04T07:00:00.146-05:00Leaf Fun Fold Card <p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;"> This card is from the 30 Minute Cardmaking Stash and Dash. </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">The parameters for this week's challenge were as follows: Type of Card: anything except an A2 card, Colours: black and white with a pop of colour, Embellishment: leaves and Technique: heat embossing. </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">I chose to make an easy fun fold card that folds flat for mailing. The papers are old ones from my stash and I die cut the leaves in three shades of green. I used one of the leaf images on the base of the card and cut apart the others and arranged them along the sides. The sentiment was embossed in green and added to the front. I brushed the leaves with a clear shimmer brush - and done! </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFeh6wYo6WWdymEAAtWWTzB7pilfMVygj9AtioRtZRoctv8G80fGWdAdfdlBj_zZeGwfsChyphenhyphenqRp73XIr_rPIA4vPyI1LfSoDJQRutNqlrMjz5UWUW8JHDIrh1ULRYFRviZhmbgRF9-ps_AReFCvDWkUDSqw8L3xcVewWHq9-skEiclHr0VfpV6lTe3SJA/s800/Leaf%20Fun%20Fold%20Card.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="576" data-original-width="800" height="460" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFeh6wYo6WWdymEAAtWWTzB7pilfMVygj9AtioRtZRoctv8G80fGWdAdfdlBj_zZeGwfsChyphenhyphenqRp73XIr_rPIA4vPyI1LfSoDJQRutNqlrMjz5UWUW8JHDIrh1ULRYFRviZhmbgRF9-ps_AReFCvDWkUDSqw8L3xcVewWHq9-skEiclHr0VfpV6lTe3SJA/w640-h460/Leaf%20Fun%20Fold%20Card.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div><p></p><p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: times;">Enjoy, </span></p><p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: times;">Alyson</span></p><p><br /></p>Alyson Mayohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17324666493874296791noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5654644859016918128.post-67215366388533398442024-03-03T04:00:00.001-05:002024-03-03T04:00:00.354-05:00DD March Challenge - Slimline Skunks<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;"> </span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_d0sHRYvahbIHzd1HXlGe-gYyRVkymqrfMCMXLGV0ail_HDDxDEPEfK5T3NIQQEE9OAEXQQJ7_Im1Ih9t1KJ2dm7bU44aUuqRPO6KKsw7ALRYDTMAr591Kx1zgi_SZwrKkzLENSryeIjYSR6dfvkpLNvUeK0g9lXhWgwnMQoc5QQID_xNb3pVjiZQiss/s714/Badge.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="608" data-original-width="714" height="272" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_d0sHRYvahbIHzd1HXlGe-gYyRVkymqrfMCMXLGV0ail_HDDxDEPEfK5T3NIQQEE9OAEXQQJ7_Im1Ih9t1KJ2dm7bU44aUuqRPO6KKsw7ALRYDTMAr591Kx1zgi_SZwrKkzLENSryeIjYSR6dfvkpLNvUeK0g9lXhWgwnMQoc5QQID_xNb3pVjiZQiss/s320/Badge.jpeg" width="320" /></a></span></div><p></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">Welcome to Dragonfly Dreams March challenge! </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">The theme this month is to use circles. </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">I pulled out an old circle die and cut it twice - once from white cardstock and a second time from green cardstock, The larger white pieces were placed back into the outline and I stamped the skunks and images in the open areas. The images were coloured and I also stamped a sentiment. I ink blended a background with Distress Oxides and splattered that with water before die cutting it with a stitched slimline die. The multiple circle die cut was placed on top and the coloured pieces plus all the tiny pieces between the circles were pieced back into the outline. I added the sentiment at the right side. I die cut the wreath from three shades of green cardstock and added ink to parts of them before layering them together. The flowers were die cut and arranged on the wreath. I used Liquid Pearls for the centres of the flowers but in hindsight, I would have chosen something else after seeing how that worked (or didn't work...) Some gold metallic thread was placed under the flowers and I added gold sequins around the wreath. I also inked the edge of the card base in green. A mini slimline scalloped border was die cut x3 and stacked and the flowers were assembled to form a long stem. I added a stamped sentiment across the bottom and placed some sparkles around the flowers. Easy - but it did take me longer than 30 minutes! </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVzM-2Bd-xTUNN-fwAbf_IWk3mfj__8tavtARsSsRydUUJbT5JIt-swG7bQN6xLh-miQHUnBuxn0GfmhKSw9mpZBiAE3aZK_F0ZSkFxOMBIj1gpzJrMdYNa2EqhaBqlQ-JbjoOofBr6dzu_my6HSktYCr67_6wW9YhY5SPlQCcAdL4FEiQOhux2ajQV7w/s800/Trio%20of%20Flowers%20Mini%20Slimline%20.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="800" data-original-width="516" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVzM-2Bd-xTUNN-fwAbf_IWk3mfj__8tavtARsSsRydUUJbT5JIt-swG7bQN6xLh-miQHUnBuxn0GfmhKSw9mpZBiAE3aZK_F0ZSkFxOMBIj1gpzJrMdYNa2EqhaBqlQ-JbjoOofBr6dzu_my6HSktYCr67_6wW9YhY5SPlQCcAdL4FEiQOhux2ajQV7w/w412-h640/Trio%20of%20Flowers%20Mini%20Slimline%20.jpeg" width="412" /></a></div><p></p><p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: times;">Enjoy,</span></p><p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: times;">Alyson</span></p>Alyson Mayohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17324666493874296791noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5654644859016918128.post-42364402112351445722024-02-28T07:00:00.001-05:002024-02-28T07:00:00.313-05:00Rotated Circle Cards<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;"> I saw a card like this on social media and wanted to try it myself. </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">It took a while to find the right striped paper - the stripes need to be pretty close together for this to work well. </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">I die cut the largest circle from the centre of the paper and continued to die cut more circles until I was down to the smallest size. The circles were placed back into the opening, rotating each one ninety degrees. I kept the patterns lined up across circles. A die cut sentiment with a vellum shadow was added at the bottom. </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYz5bZQmFtahzC-4ouDO4mw0SuR4GIzslWkZqI6XInuO8bMRbZEU5AFLHeI5imz7XsxdQ_ZcEJkrAtrnKKaxm_Gl85uHddhvtCZnkR9sAEz3bQ75BFf0_cCxXeBfXWkN18n27KdnXlVLGx4qlfvVYzH_wf-CXguTD6EJdhdQxLpDZZ2TAf9qbRhbFgT24/s800/Rotated%20Circles%20Card.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="800" data-original-width="659" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYz5bZQmFtahzC-4ouDO4mw0SuR4GIzslWkZqI6XInuO8bMRbZEU5AFLHeI5imz7XsxdQ_ZcEJkrAtrnKKaxm_Gl85uHddhvtCZnkR9sAEz3bQ75BFf0_cCxXeBfXWkN18n27KdnXlVLGx4qlfvVYzH_wf-CXguTD6EJdhdQxLpDZZ2TAf9qbRhbFgT24/w528-h640/Rotated%20Circles%20Card.jpeg" width="528" /></a></div><p></p><p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;">Staying with this same technique, I wanted to try something a little different... I chose a monochromatic striped pattern as it worked best for this technique. The circles were die cut the same way but this time, I placed the smallest circle in the centre first and offset each of the other circles so they would meet at the correct angle against the base piece (if that makes sense). This is really a play on the eyes. I know some people cannot look long at an illusion like this but it is so neat in real life. Again, a die cut sentiment with a vellum shadow was added at the bottom. </span></p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjCB5M93havnn0Vtb__ipeH2IgH4QDBmRI6zbTybeXdBgL2XN5GdAfB258ED6Ley4T2vwBAOCkgu3PnuIZi8QQUrFmHxlsDl-D5o8Swco-a0X2PK6ZuaBT5_vs6QmFseNU2N5S9QIDfqVHu0MfTe5Nevp5Ie3C23ErN1m6B_89PmL7UUTypwJ981mDtJ4/s800/Angled%20Circle%20Card.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="708" data-original-width="800" height="566" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjCB5M93havnn0Vtb__ipeH2IgH4QDBmRI6zbTybeXdBgL2XN5GdAfB258ED6Ley4T2vwBAOCkgu3PnuIZi8QQUrFmHxlsDl-D5o8Swco-a0X2PK6ZuaBT5_vs6QmFseNU2N5S9QIDfqVHu0MfTe5Nevp5Ie3C23ErN1m6B_89PmL7UUTypwJ981mDtJ4/w640-h566/Angled%20Circle%20Card.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div><p></p><p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: times;">Enjoy, </span></p><p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: times;">Alyson</span></p>Alyson Mayohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17324666493874296791noreply@blogger.com2
