Plaid Heart Card

Valentine's Day is coming up fast - kind of the same way that Christmas seems to sneak up on everyone... This is a "sort of" Valentine's card. The sentiment can certainly be changed but I like the design.

The original designer of this card idea was Jennifer Kotas. I was drawn to the vellum leaves on her card and wanted to imitate that idea.

The background is an old piece of patterned paper with red and pink shades. I die cut a stitched heart three times and also used the inside piece for the background. The heart outline was stacked and various images were added inside. The leaves were die cut from vellum and adhered behind the heart. The sentiment was stamped and adhered to a piece of shimmer tape and was also set behind the heart. A few opaque gems were added around the card and some Stickles were placed in the flower centres.

Products used are as follows:

Paper: Plaid Patterned Paper, Candy Apple Cardstock, Glacier Cardstock, Flamingo Cardstock, Vellum, White Cards and Envelopes (all CTMH), Neenah Solar White Cardstock

Stamps: Word Up (Reverse Confetti)

Inks: Black (Gina K. Designs)

Accessories: Heart Shaker Die, Coral Shimmer Trim (CTMH), Arrange a Wreath Dies, Eden's Garden Dies, Forever Fern Dies (SU), Opaque Gems (misc.), Tiara Stickles

Enjoy,

Alyson
