These are side V-fold cards - the edge of the patterned paper is cut and folded back. You do need a piece of double sided patterned paper for this technique.
The first of two cards is one using some miscellaneous patterned paper. I stamped and die cut a poinsettia to place at the folded corner. Some branches and berries were added around the flower and I brushed the leaves with a clear shimmer brush. Stickles were also added to the berries and the center of the poinsettia. The sentiment was stamped in red at the side.
For the second card, I used one of the papers from the Jingle All the Way collection (Echo Park). In hindsight, this pattern is pretty busy and it would have been better to choose a less active pattern. However, I wanted to stay with the stocking theme so I die cut a stocking and some gifts and placed them in the center of the folded section. The sentiment was stamped on the open section of the card.
Products used are as follows:
Paper: Jingle All the Way Paper Pack (Echo Park), Misc. Patterned Paper, Toffee Cardstock, Candy Apple Cardstock, Evergreen Cardstock, Vellum, White Cards and Envelopes (CTMH), Neenah Solar White Cardstock
Stamps: Comfort and Joy Scrapbooking stamp and dies, Blessings of Peace, The Jubilee Crew and dies (CTMH), Playful Penguin dies (Gina K. Designs)
Inks: Intense Black (SSS), Evergreen, Toffee, Ruby (CTMH)
Accessories: Tri-Blend Markers, Touch Markers, Clear Shimmer Brush, Christmas Red Stickles, Platinum Stickles (CTMH)
Enjoy,
Alyson
