Layered Strips Background Card - Peace

This technique is a great way to use up scraps of any papers - cardstock, patterned papers, specialty papers... I used cardstock and glitter paper for the strips.

Many pieces of paper were cut in a variety of widths and adhered diagonally on a standard A2 background. The edges were trimmed and that piece was adhered to the card base. A floral die was cut and I cut away much of the inside section, leaving some flowers and leaves intact so it looked natural. The word Peace was die cut three times and stacked and then added to the opening in the background die. Some clear sparkles were added to the centres of the flowers. Easy - but it is really pretty!

I also did this same card in a red and green colour scheme. I added some gold glitter paper and there are also some green glitter paper strips. Red enamel dots were added to the flower centers and I also flipped the floral outline the other direction.
