AH 436 - Daisies on Woodgrain Slimline

Welcome to Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge 436!

The sketch is in a slimline format but that can certainly be changed to a standard card size.

I followed the sketch very closely as it worked for what I had in mind.

The woodgrain background was enhanced as I scored the backside to raise the panels and then dragged two shades of grey ink pads over the top. The flowers were created using layering stencils and then die cut. The image is a complete wreath so I cut it apart and used the sections that I liked. The sentiment was stamped and die cut with a stitched hexagon. The flowers were adhered wth foam tape and some gold embellishing thread was added underneath. Some gold gems were placed around the card and the flower centres and the darkest parts of the flowers were brushed with a gold shimmer brush. The woodgrain panel was adhered to green cardstock and then to a piece of purple cardstock.

Come and join us at Atlantic Hearts and show us how you interpret the sketch shown above.

You have until Sunday evening to link up your project.

We can’t wait to see what you create!

  1. I love that sentiment! The colorful flowers on the woodgrain background really make the card a happy card, one anyone would love to receive! Thank you for the inspiration.
