Berry Fun Fold Card

This sweet card was based on one I found on Facebook - I figured out the measurements and chose a cherry/strawberry theme for the design.

The cherries on the front were stamped and die cut. The berries inside were all die cut as they were slightly smaller and they fit better in the sections. I used a white gel pen to add some details to the images. The sentiment was embossed in gold and I added a few small flowers on each side. A message can be written on the back.

Enjoy,

TSOT 650 - Striped Circles Card

Welcome to Try a Sketch on Tuesday Challenge 650!

I had several ideas for this sketch but chose to use a pretty simple concept. The background was die cut with a stitched rectangle die and I used four sizes of circle dies to cut circles into that piece. I created a large background using six cardstock colour strips and trimmed that down to four squares. I arranged those pieces under the circles so the stripes would be random in direction. The sentiment was embossed in white and I die cut the edges of that piece using the same size circle die so it would be even along the edges of the circle. Some iridescent sequins were placed around the circles to finish off this card.

Come and join us at TSOT and show us how you interpret the sketch.

You have two weeks to link up your project.

We can't wait to see what you create!

DT 170 - Birthday Drink and Flamingo

Welcome to Double Trouble Challenge 170!

Embossing/stencilling and lush leaves are the theme for this challenge. The small graphic is below - please visit the Double Trouble Challenge Blog for detailed information.

I embossed a piece of green cardstock with a leaf embossing folder and then inked the edges to enhance the design. The drink glass with the scene inside was all die cut and assembled. The corner image with the flamingo was also die cut from various colours of cardstock and I added a hot foiled sentiment at the bottom. A few clear gems were added around the glass.

Come and join us at Double Trouble and show us how you interpret this challenge.

I am also linking up my card with the challenge at Park Hopping - My Happy Place. My card was inspired by a water park with poolside drinks.

AH 584 - Dogwood Hugs Shaker

Welcome to Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge 584!

When I saw the shape on the sketch, I knew exactly what I was going to do. The shape is only a guide but I had the perfect die for this challenge. I die cut the frame and outline (one die) in grey and again in white. The white piece was stencilled with a silver glitter paste and set aside. I die cut and inked the dogwood flowers and stamped and die cut a sentiment. That was all adhered on top of the acetate. The frame was placed on a piece of ombre patterned paper and I adhered the shimmery background and put some clear and pink sequins inside the shaker.

Come and join us at Atlantic Hearts and show us how you interpret this challenge.

You have until Sunday evening to link up your project.

We can't wait to see what you create!
