DT 171 - Frosty Hello

Welcome to Double Trouble Challenge 171!

This challenge is all about aperture or open cards. The small graphic is below - please visit the Double Trouble Challenge Blog for detailed information.

There are many forms of aperture cards - the basic idea is that there needs to be an opening on the front of the card that looks through to something inside. I chose a design that is easy but very cute.

The snowflake paper was random stamped and splattered with two shimmer brush colours. I created the front panel and two narrow panels for inside the card. Once the front panel was adhered, the scalloped circle was die cut from the front of the card. A second scalloped circle was die cut in silver. I stamped and coloured the snowman and die cut that piece with a circle die. There is a panel inside to write a message and the snowman image was adhered to the fold-out panel inside the card. I embossed s sentiment to go across the front of that card.

Come and join us at Double Trouble and show us how you interpret this challenge.

You have two weeks to link up your project.

I am also linking up my card with the Jingle Belles Challenge

We can't wait to see what you create!

Enjoy,

Alyson

Love your fun fold, adorable image, and that silver foil is so pretty against the patterned paper and used in your aperture/window cut. Creative and fun card.

Such a fun and vibrant pairing of SNOW + WINDOW! I especially love the very clever fancy fold! So pleased that Jingle Belles and Double Trouble could teem up this fortnight!
