Welcome to Colour Dare Challenge 495!
We have a monochromatic challenge this week - choose ONE colour and use it with black and white. Gold and silver are free to use.
I created a background using three shades of blue Distress Oxide inks and then splattered it with a mixture of water and Perfect Pearls to add some shimmer. The sentiment was embossed in white on black. The white frame was adhered to a black frame and the sentiment was bordered the same way. I die cut several leaves and adhered them to the frame before attaching the entire front to the inked background. Clear gems were added for additional shine although they look silver in the photo.
Come and join us at Colour Dare and show us how you interpret the challenge shown above.
You have two weeks to link up your project.
We can’t wait to see what you create!
Enjoy,
Alyson

Besides your coloring blending being on point, I love the sentiment tucked into the upper corner. Very pretty card.
You really created a piecing together a background frame, so pretty and love the technique you used for your + color blue... beautiful card.
Lovely card, Alyson! I recently purchased that same set of dies but haven't used them yet. Thank you for the inspiration. (They're packed up until after I move.)
Beautiful card! Love that bright blue background and how it really makes those leaves pop.
