Welcome to Try Stampin' on Tuesday Challenge 555!
The optional theme this week (in addition to the sketch) is to use pastels. I did only the sketch.
I recently ordered the new kit from Gina K. Designs and it contains this gorgeous layered carnation stamp image. That was the basis for this card. The flowers, leaves and berries were stamped and die cut. I found some patterned paper in my stash that worked very well with the colours in the flowers. The woodgrain panel was created by dragging a grey ink pad over a piece of white cardstock. That was adhered to a Cricut cut scalloped piece of black cardstock. The sentiment was die cut from black cardstock, stacked three times and added to a vellum shadow layer. I added some gold metallic thread and gold sequins under and around the flowers and brushed the darkest flower lines with a gold shimmer brush. The flowers were adhered with thin and regular foam tape to add some dimension.
Come and join us at TSOT and show us how you interpret the sketch shown above.
You have two weeks to link up your project.
We can’t wait to see what you create!
Enjoy,
Alyson

Alyson, what a gorgeous card you've created in which our TSOT participants will find inspiration! Love the woodgrain pattern you created... did you draw the panel lines after dragging the stamp pad across the paper? -Donna
So pretty, Alyson! I love the "dressy-casual" style - the floral images are perfect with the plaid and wood patterns.
