TSOT 523 - Two Leaf Cards

Welcome to Try Stampin' on Tuesday Sketch Challenge 523!

The optional theme this week (in addition to the sketch) is falling leaves.

I decided to combine both the sketch and the theme for both cards. I stayed true to the sketch as well.

On the first card (slimline), the leaves were stamped and coloured and a top piece was cut using stitched square dies. That all fit together as a shaker with gold sequins and stars plus some iridescent flower confetti as the shaker pieces. The background was inked using several Distress Oxide colours and then I dropped some water on top to soften the appearance. The shaker was adhered to the background and a piece of coral shimmer trim was added underneath. I stamped a sentiment and added it to the front of the card along with some gold sequins.

For the second card, stitched squares were die cut and I stamped three leaf combinations, one in each. The leaves were coloured and then added to a grey background. The papers are all from the Falling for You paper collection from CTMH. I added some gold embellishing thread and gold glitter gems but kept this card pretty simple.

Come and join us at TSOT and show us how you interpret the sketch shown above.

You have two weeks to link up your project.

We can’t wait to see what you create!

Your Slimline fall card is so serene, Alyson! I especially love the blended colors. Your second card is lovely as well. The trio of squares is perfect against the patterned paper.
