4 You Card - H2H and Mojo Monday Challenges

I am in love with the new Dotty For You paper! The dotted sides are going to keep me busy for a long while as I have so many ideas floating around in my mind and I can't keep up with all of them!

The Heart 2 Heart Challenge this week was to use embossing so I embossed the main images on my card. The sketch for Mojo Monday is below the card.

"Precious" Layout - My Mom and Me

When I went to visit my mom (she's 84) a few weeks ago, I took her for a photo session - she wasn't very happy about it. She does NOT like to have her picture taken by anyone, anywhere, any place! However, the pictures turned out really well in the end. This one was her favourite of all of them, so I am going to have this layout framed for her. I still want to do one for my office to be framed and a layout of all the poses for my own scrapbook as well. 

The dark flowers were hand dyed to match the layout but the others were used as is. I had forgotten how hard it is to work with our older papers... I like the thickness of CTMH's newer papers so much better!

2 New Challenges - and a Nice Surprise!

What a nice surprise this week. I checked the Ribbon Carousel Blog, only to find out that I was chosen as one of the "Top Spools" for last week's challenge! I certainly didn't expect that!

This card is made for two challenges this week - the Freshly Made Sketch Challenge and the Ribbon Carousel Challenge. The Freshly Made Sketch is below the card and the Ribbon Carousel Challenge requires the use of twine, which I LOVE!  I am using it on my cards and layouts more and more. 

I am working on a couple of layouts right now that are taking me an extraordinary amount of time. My mother and I went for a portrait session a couple of weeks ago and I am doing a layout for a frame for me and one for her. I want them to be nothing short of spectacular so I am searching for ideas and slowly putting them together. It is taking up a lot of my time so if I don't post daily, that is what is taking up my time these days. Just so you know...

Mojo Monday - Anything is Possible

I am falling in love with the Mojo Monday sketches! I really enjoy working from sketches and am looking forward to seeing what Close To My Heart is going to do to replace the pattern books at Convention because I am absolutely certain that they are not going to leave us hanging. Those books have been great sellers and I know most consultants and customers rely on those sketches! 

Anyways, here is my take on this week's Mojo Monday sketch. I saw this layering idea in a recent card magazine and wanted to try it out.

H2H Challenge - Blue Skies

This week's Heart 2 Heart Challenge is a photo challenge. I usually find these difficult but a soon as I looked at today's photo, I knew exactly which stamp set I wanted to use - an oldie, but a goodie! We have been experiencing unusually warm weather here in Central Ontario and I am loving every minute of it. This weekend, I saw some hot air balloons over the lake and when I saw them in the photo for the challenge, I knew I had to use them in my card. The inspiration photo is shown below my card.
