Hearts Galore

I subscribe to the Let's Stamp Together program - every second month, we receive a package of products that include a stamp set, stencil(s) and dies.

This package was heart themed - created by Pink and Main.

Here is the set of three cards from that package. I intend to play more with the products but I like to do the cards with the instructor the first time around.

Enjoy,

SS 771 - Make a Wish

Welcome to Sketch Saturday Challenge 771!

The sketch has so many possibilities - I chose a floral birthday theme.

The background was hot foiled and I die cut a lattice backgound three times and stacked it. That was placed behind the pink oval and onto a lightly inked green panel. The leaves were created wth my BetterPress, coloured and die cut. I also die cut several flowers in shades of pick. They were added in two clusters on opposite ends of the oval. The sentiment was embossed in silver and placed on the right side and I added white gems to the flowers and silver Stickles to all the tiny holes on the large oval.

Come and join us at Sketch Saturday and show us how you interpret this sketch.

You have two weeks to link up your project.

We can't wait to see what you create!

Cut It Up 325 - Birthday Cupcake with Light

Welcome to Cut It Up Challenge 325!

The theme for this challenge is happy birthday.

I knew right away what I wanted to do - birthday cards can be a lot of fun to make and this one was no exception.

The background was stencilled, cut into three sections and placed on a black background. The cupcake and candle were also stencilled and die cut. They were arranged on a black frame and I added some Stickles to the dots and stamped "make a wish" across the icing before brushing that section with a clear shimmer brush. A heat embossed sentiment was placed under the cupcake.

I cut out the candle flame using a craft knife. A piece of vellum brushed with yellow ink was placed behind the opening. A light was placed behind the candle flame and the card front was adhered to the base with foam tape. I added a piece of cardstock with the word PUSH on it. When that is pushed, the light comes on behind the candle flame. I love it and it is always such a surprise for the recipient!

MTTC 555 - Lucky Friend

Welcome to My Time to Craft Challenge 555!

The theme for this challenge is to use shamrocks.

I created a shamrock image on my Cricut and cut out the pieces. I inked the green stems and coloured the flowers with a Copic marker. I die cut two oval frames and layered an open dark green one with a lattice die cut behind that on top of a larger peach frame. The background was embossed with a leaf folder and everything was adhered to that piece and then to a white card base. The sentiment was stamped, die cut and added with foam tape and gold metallic thread. I placed several gold gems around the card as well.

Trio of Trees

I made this card for a design team challenge but ended up mixing up or missing some of the elements... consequently it will be added to my stash of cards for future use and is not linked to a challenge.

A moon was masked in the night sky and the rest of the circle was inked using Distress Oxide inks and splattered with both water and white paint. The trees were added across the bottom of the circle. The rectangle panel was splattered with the same colours of ink as the sky and layered onto a yellow mat and then an embossed blue panel. I dragged a blue ink pad over the embossing to enhance the design. The sentiment was added across the front and I placed some blue gems around the card.

Coloured Floral Card Set

This is the second set of cards that I completed at a recent crop.

The images were coloured and I added a detail die cut background to each card as well as a sentiment across the centre. I chose four different sentiments and eight colours for this set.

TSOT 665 - Sending Sunshine

Welcome to Try a Sketch on Tuesday Challenge 665!

I saw the rectangle on the sketch as a chance to highlight a section of the paper.

I chose a gorgeous printed paper with a field of flowers for my card. I added three thin strips of black cardstock along the left side and then die cut a rectangle from the image. I cut a smaller rectangle from the first piece and placed it back onto the card which has a piece of black cardstock underneath. The sentiment was embossed in white and added at the bottom. The paper does all the work here so nothing else was added.

DT 186 - Lucky to Call You Friend

Welcome to Double Trouble Challenge 186!

St. Patrick's Day is coming up - although you don't have to make a card for that occasion, the parameters are definitely related to that day. The small graphic is below - please visit the Double Trouble Challenge Blog for detailed information.

I love the postage collage products and since I have the stencil set (set of three layering stencils) for St. Patricks' Day, that was a good choice for my card.

I stencilled the images with various colours (green, gold plus one other colour are required). I used gold glitter gel for some of the sections and the sentiment was embossed on black cardstock and fussy cut. The postage front was adhered to black cardstock and then to a white card base.

DD March - Cacti Friend Card

Welcome to the March challenge for Dragonfly Dreams.

The theme this month is gardening.

I knew right away what I was going to do for this challenge. A set of products from Concord and 9th fit perfectly.

I die cut the plants and pots in various colours and shaded them with ink. The sentiment was stamped at the bottom and I added a die cut word at the top. The pots were arranged across the centre and everything was set on a green mat and then a white card base with craft foam. Clean and simple!

Pearly Sparkles March - Apple Basket

Welcome to Pearly Sparkles and the March challenge!

The theme this month is anything BUT a card.

Since I am an avid card maker, I had to find another project for this challenge. It's a good thing I have my Cricut machine!

I chose to make an apple treat basket. The file was downloaded and I cut the required pieces. I added some ink to the leaves and I cut the apples from red glitter paper for more interest. I stamped a sentiment and placed it at the bottom of one of the apples. Easy!

Come and join us at Pearly Sparkles and show us your non-card projects.

You have until the end of the month to link up your project.
