CD 479 - Simply... Trees

Welcome to Colour Dare Challenge 479!

Choose at least four colours from the graphic below - black, white and gold are free to use (and cannot be included in the four colour choices).

I chose Peach, Scarlet, Glacier, Shortbread, Sundance and Sapphire.

The background was created using Distress Oxide inks and I blended the colours in diagonal lines. The colours at the corners are just barely visible (Sundance and Peach) as the edges were inked with sapphire and then black. The tree stamp is a full A2 size stamp and it is designed to be rotated 180 degrees and stamped a second time to create a full forest. That was done with black pigment ink and then embossed. It also created a HUGE mess... black ink everywhere during the clean-up. The birds were stamped in the opening in the trees and a sentiment was stamped in black and adhered to Shortbread cardstock. The tree front was adhered to a black card base.

Come and join us at Colour Dare and show us how you use the colours from the gird shown above.

You have two weeks to link up your project.

We can't wait to see what you create!

Products used are as follows:

Paper: Black Cardstock, White Daisy Cardstock, Shortbread Cardstock (CTMH)

Stamps: Through the Trees (Pink Fresh Studio)

Inks: Black (Gina K. Designs), Black Pigment Ink (CTMH), DO Inks - Tattered Rose, Fired Brick, Wild Honey, Speckled Egg, Tumbled Glass, Chipped Sapphire, Antique Linen, Black Soot

Accessories: Clear Detail Embossing Powder, Heat Tool

Enjoy,

Alyson

  1. If the sentiment is perfect for this card, I don't know what is! One of my favorite "views".
