Colour Dare 435 - Just Because...

Welcome to Colour Dare Challenge #435!

St. Patrick's Day is coming up so the colour theme this week is greens with one other colour. Neutrals are free to use.

I have been playing around with my Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend markers and the background of this card was created by colouring in sections on vellum and then painting over the vellum with rubbing alcohol. It creates such a cool background. I used dark pink (not purple), dark green and medium grey for this background.

The coloured background was mounted on a piece of Mint cardstock and I used the light side of Evergreen cardstock to die cut the stitched borders. That same Mint cardstock was used as the cross piece. I stamped a floral cluster, coloured and fussy cut it. The sentiment was stamped at the bottom of the cross piece and a few purple gems were added. I brushed the centre sections of each flower with the Clear Shimmer Brush.

Come and join us at Colour Dare and show us how you interpret the colour theme shown above.

You have two weeks to link up your project.

We can’t wait to see what you you create!

Products used are Close To My Heart unless otherwise indicated:

Enjoy,

Alyson

  1. SO pretty! Love what you did with the border above/below the sentiment...I'm going to borrow that idea. I am struggling with that alcohol technique...yours is beautiful
