June Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to the June Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!

This month, the featured stamp set is called Garden Tags. It is a set with four gorgeous tags, a coordinating flower and a few other small elements. There is also a set of tag thin cuts available that coordinate with this stamp set.

You should have arrived here from Brenda Lapp's blog.
If you get lost, a list of all participants can be found on Melinda Everitt's blog

Although I love each of the tags in this set, I selected one that coordinates with the single flower. I chose to colour the flowers in a gold tone to create mini sunflowers. I used two of the Sapphire papers from the Mix-In Paper Pack and I stamped and embossed the tags using Sapphire Pigment Ink. They looked better in dark blue than in black. The tags were coloured and die cut. Three individual flowers were stamped and fussy cut plus I added two flourishes cut from the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge. The petals of each flower were brushed with the Gold Shimmer Brush.

The base of the card contains the pocket - the card opens from the top and a sentiment can be written inside later. The pocket was decorated using the Lace Border Thin Cut and I added a thin strip of Sapphire cardstock to the top of that cut. I also cut two stitched rectangles to line the edges.

I hope you enjoyed my project.

The next stop on this blog hop is Michelle Loncar's blog.
I'm sure she has something awesome to share with you!
