Double Trouble 56 - Sponging

Welcome to Double Trouble's Challenge!

The challenges are always divided into Things 1, 2 and 3. The details for this challenge are shown below. Please visit the Double Trouble Challenge Blog for more detailed information.

We are partnering with the Joy of Sets Challenge this time - the grid for their challenge is shown below. I met this challenge by creating a diagonal line with the following elements:
1) birthday 2) things that fly and 3) sponging
I chose to create a background by sponging over a stencil. I used two shades of pink to create that background. It was then cut into a banner shape using my Cricut machine. I stamped the butterfly and coloured it using shimmer brushes. The flowers were die cut and then I had to trace the exterior to create a background for each of them as the die is only the outline. The insides of the flowers were brushed with the Clear Shimmer Brush. A stitched oval was die cut and I stamped the birthday greeting on kraft paper and embossed it in white. The flower centres are white gems that were coloured to match the butterfly.

Come and join us at Double Trouble and show us how you apply Things 1, 2 and 3.
If your project meets the requirements for the Joy of Sets Challenge, as mine does, be sure to link up with their challenge as well.
We can’t wait to see what you create!
