Close To My Heart has a new Cricut collection available - Everyday Moments. There are complete scrapbook layouts and card images already done for you! These two cards are from the same image, just created using different colours.
I have to give credit to Carrie Simonds for the beautiful gold card design - I loved what she did and decided to replicate it.
The images are cut with the letters cut away. It wasn't until I started to assemble one of these cards that I realized I needed the inside pieces for some the letters (R, O, etc.) Of course, all those "leftover" pieces had gone into the already full recycling bin... not fun trying to find them to avoid cutting detailed images a second time!
The gold card is cut using French Vanilla cardstock and there is a piece of gold foil paper underneath. I LOVE this card!
The second one has five layers of different bold colours cut and placed on the front of the card base, which is white. A few white acrylic hearts were added for interest.
