Rainbow Triangle Cards

This pattern was used for a Mother's Day layout with Close To My Heart. A fellow consultant revised the sizes to fit a standard sized card.

I used the Blue Skies Cardstock, which is embossed cardstock. It has a beautiful shiny side with a subtle pattern for each colour - I used 5 of the 6 colours here. It is a matter of cutting various size squares and then cutting them diagonally to form the triangles. The squares on the bottom are TINY! One benefit is that by cutting the squares in half, you have a second set of pieces to create a second card!

The floral arrangement is from a retired stamp set but it fit the front panel perfectly. Rather than use black ink, I used Sapphire pigment ink and embossed the outline. I coloured it using two different different colour schemes. I can’t decide which one I like the best... both turned out so well.

Products used are Close To My Heart unless otherwise indicated:

Paper: White Daisy Cardstock, Blue Skies Cardstock, Neenah Solar White Cardstock
Stamps: Every Little Thing - Scrapbooking
Inks: Sapphire Pigment Ink
Accessories: Clear Detail Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Clear Sparkles, Tri-Blend Markers, Foam Tape, Thin Foam Tape

Enjoy,
Alyson
