CD 657 - Your Smile Shaped Card

Welcome to Colour Dare Challenge 657!

The graphic is below - be sure to add ONE colour to the two that are shown.

I chose to add purple.

I die cut a shaped card using an angled leaf die. I also cut two extra pieces - one for the inside to allow a place to write a message on the green piece and another to put on the reverse of the front section. The latter was done for two reasons - to add strength and to hide the ribbon backs.

I have to think ahead when I am making my cards... I decided to splatter the front with gold paint AFTER I had added the ribbon. I didn't want the back of the card nor the leaves to be splattered so I had to mask those. This isn't the first time I have done this! The flowers and leaves were die cut, as was the sentiment and everything was arranged on the front of the card. I added some of the images in the bottom corner as well. Gold Stickles were used to add some interest to the purple flowers and I used fine tip markers to draw details on the pink flowers and all the leaves.

MTTCC 115 - Ornaments in Circles

Welcome to My Time to Craft Christmas Challenge 115!

The theme for this challenge is to make a vertical slimline card.

I die cut a large circle image from gold glitter paper. The small circles were filled with various red and green patterned papers. I die cut several ornaments, strings, tops and bows and assembled them. They were placed inside the larger circles and I drew a white shadow line on each. A hot foiled sentiment was placed across the centre and I placed gold gems around the card.

Rainbow Clouds with Butterfly

I saved a card picture like this because I just loved the rainbow clouds with the black image and sentiment.

I used a cloud stencil and several inks to created the background. The image and sentiment were stamped in black and I adhered the card front to a black mat and then a white card base. Simple but pretty!

M-Fold Hello Card

This pretty card is based on one I saw on social media. The title comes form the M shape that the card forms when it is closed.

I used some patterned paper on the front and embossed the centre panel. A die cut leaf stem and sentiment were placed on that piece and I adhered several iridescent gems to the front as well. Inside the card, there is a large triangle on top of green patterned paper so there is a place to write a message.

You're Very Special

This is another bonus card from the last Let's Stamp Together subscription program.

I ended up making two of this card because I thought the placement on my first one was incorrect. They ended up looking the same anyways...

The images were arranged into a wreath and stamped in grey. I used the coordinating stencils to colour the flowers and leaves and teal ink was blended around the edges of the card fronts. Each was adhered to holographic paper and then to a teal card base. Some clear sequins were placed around the wreaths.

AH 634 - Hello Card

Welcome to Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge 634!

There are a lot of ways to interpret this challenge. I chose to follow it very close to the diagram.

I chose a piece of alcohol inked paper and drew lines in approximately the same locations as the sketch. I cut apart the pieces and trimmed them along the edges so I could place them back on black cardstock with lines separating each section. That was MUCH more difficult than I anticipated. Once that was done, I die cut a vellum oval and a black sentiment and placed them as per the sketch. Three black dots were added around the sentiment.

Beautiful Blossoms June - No One Compares to You

Welcome to Beautiful Blossoms and our June challenge!

The inspiration photo is below - using the photo is optional but your project MUST have florals as the main feature.

I drew my colours from the photo.

I die cut a lace background along with a scalloped frame. Those were added to a card base that I lightly inked along the edges and toward the centre. The flowers were stamped, stencilled and die cut. I placed them along the sides and added a hot foiled sentiment with foam tape and gold metallic thread. Some gold gems were placed around the card.

Come and join us at Beautiful Blossoms and show us your floral projects.

Glorious Day Arch Card

I have had this stamp, stencil and die set for some time - it was time to bring it back out to play!

The arch was stamped and I stencilled it using shades of grey. The base arch was not coloured at all. I used peach ink to stencil the tiny flowers. The frame was stacked three times and added to a die cut card front. The sentiment was stamped and also stacked before being placed across the arch. I added some peach gems around the card to finish it off. I love how elegant this looks with neutral colours!

Cut It Up 332 - Relax and Enjoy!

Welcome to Cut It Up Challenge 332!

The theme for this challenge is masculine.

I used a die and layering stencils from Honey Bee Stamps to create the background. I added some details using markers and white gel pen and also spread clear glitter paste on the water. Once that was dry, the sentiment was stamped at the top. I die cut the pieces for the cabin, two small trees plus the canoe and paddle and arranged them on the card. The front was adhered to a brown mat, a dark green mat and then a lightly inked white card base.

MTTC 562 - Great Friend

Welcome to My Time to Craft Challenge 562!

The theme for this challenge is to make an oval shaped card.

I chose a colour scheme of turquoise and grey. I die cut ovals in white and turquoise and layered them together. The top layer was also lightly stencilled in grey. I foiled the images (laminate foiling) and the sentiment (hot foil) and the images were stencilled and added above the sentiment. Some clear gems were placed around the card.
