Sending Sunshine Slimline

This is a cute spring card.

I die cut a slimline frame and inked it using four colours of Distress Oxide ink. I splattered it with water and adhered it to a black card base. The inner circles were die cut and I stamped three images on those pieces and coloured them. They were placed back into the open circles and I embossed two sentiments and placed them along the sides of the card. Some clear gems were added around the sentiments and images.

Pull Up Gift Card Holder

This is such a cute way to give a gift card.

I attached the top and bottom sections with a velcro dot. Once that is open, the top panel draws up a gift card holder. I stamped a message on the inside piece and added a die cut and coloured floral image on the front. A few enamel dots finished off this cute card.

CD 655 - Pair of Stencilled and Overlay Cards

Welcome to Colour Dare Challenge 655!

The graphic is below.

I used all five colours plus black, white, silver and gold.

The backgrounds were stencilled slightly differently and I added Hero Arts white wax over some of the sections. Once that was dry, I placed a black die cut piece over the top of each card. Some extra leaves were die cut and added behind the circle and brushed with shimmer brushes to add some shine. The sentiments were stamped and I added a bow and ties behind the circles.

MTTCC 114 - Holiday Cheer Shaker Card

Welcome to My Time to Craft Christmas Challenge 114!

The theme for this challenge is masculine.

I chose a darker colour scheme for my card. I ink blended a background using orange, red-purple and blue although the blue section ended up being hidden inside the shaker. I die cut a few trees and a deer image. A piece of white glitter paper was placed across the bottom of the circle and I arranged the trees and the deer behind the white open circle with some sections of the trees hanging over the edge of the circle. Iridescent stars were used inside the shaker. I embossed the white background and embedded the shaker component in that piece. A die cut sentiment was added at the bottom and the card front was placed on a black card base. I added some iridescent Stickles to some of the circles on the front to make it appear more like snow.

Pair of Mini Slim Floral Cards

This pair of cards was created for what I THOUGHT was the right challenge... turned out I misread the information so I ended up with a pair of extra cards.

I used a layering stencil to create the cards. The cards were splattered with silver paint and I used a black marker to outline some of the images and add extra details. I also used some Stickles. The vellum piece was lightly inked in purple so it didn't get lost on the card. I chose two hot foiled sentiments for the cards.

Rainbow Bridge Card

A friend of mine recently lost her beautiful doggie... as hard as it is to make sympathy cards (especially for pets), it was important.

I revisited a card that I made several years ago, simply because it works. The rainbow pieces were die cut and arranged on a light blue inked background. The clouds were die cut and placed across the card to provide a base for the dog and the halo. I stamped the sentiment at the bottom and added three hearts.

Accordion Scene Card

This is an easy card to create and it works so well with scene paper.

I chose some scene paper from Stampin' Up and cut the papers so the scene would continue across the open card. The panels between the scene have coordinating patterned paper on them and there is a white panel on the back to write a message. I stamped a sentiment in the top corner and that was it! Easy!

AH 632 - Bee Mine

Welcome to Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge 632!

I chose to keep my card very clean and simple. I stencilled a honeycomb image across the card. The bees were stamped, coloured and die cut. I added clear Stickles to their wings and adhered them according to the sketch (the dots). A small sentiment was stamped at the bottom. The card front was adhered to a black card base.

Dragonfly Dreams June - Reason to Smile

Welcome to Dragonfly Dreams and our June challenge!

The theme for this challenge is to use one or more butterflies.

The background was embossed with a 3D leafy embossing folder and I tore a strip of turquoise paper and placed it a little off centre. The butterflies were stamped, stencilled and die cut. They were placed along the edge of the torn piece with foam tape. I stamped and die cut the sentiment and stacked that piece to fit over the butterfly. Some clear gems were added around the card and I used silver Stickles on the dots on the butterflies.

Pearly Sparkles June - Another Year Wiser

Welcome to Pearly Sparkles and our June challenge!

The theme for this challenge is masculine.

I have had this owl die for a while and I love the effect it creates when all the layers are in place. I die cut everything in white and inked the pieces in shades of grey and blue. I added details with coloured pencils and a white gel pen. The owl was mounted on a leafy frame and I embossed the sentiment and placed it at the top. Some silver gems were added around the wreath.
