Canvas - Am I Behind with my Crafting or What??

Well, after ALL this time, I finally dug out the Canvas Kit and completed it! I decided to use photos of Mika as they were the perfect colour to compliment the colours in the kit and I wanted to hang this on my wall.

This didn't take long to do at all. After sitting for such a long time, though, the backing on the chipboard had come off and I did have to adhere that back down. No big deal. It's done and I love the way it turned out!

Frosted Cards with an Extra Twist

I loved the idea of taking the Frosted Card WOTG and changing the colours to Slate, Whisper and Twilight (Vicki Wizniuk comes up with the most amazing ideas!!) So, I took her idea and just went one step further with it. I used the cutting guide and I did not change anything else - I simple played around with the pieces of paper allotted per card along with the embellishments and saw what I could created within those limitations and this is what I came up with. The original card is shown first, followed by my four "re-creations".
So, just by changing some ink colours and the placement of a few simple pieces of paper, these cards can look very different. It was fun trying this out. Before anyone emails me to ask, YES, feel free to scraplift any of these ideas - anyone could have done this. It wasn't hard - just time consuming, more than anything else.

Sonoma Workshop

The Sonoma paper pack was not a favourite of mine when the new catalogue was released but I did the Workshop this past weekend and it really changed my mind, especially after doing the cards! I haven't found photos for the layouts yet, but will eventually. I have had the Kraft cards sitting around and haven't quite figured out what to do with them but this workshop gave me some great ideas.
I can't wait to use them again!

Typeset WOTG

We're back from our canoe trip - and I managed to get a good case of poison ivy in all the places you don't want to get poison ivy... Trust me - don't squat in the bushes before checking them out really carefully first! It will be a very uncomfortable next few weeks!

Anyways, the following layouts and cards can be double clicked to see more details if you wish. We did indeed come this close to this moose in the first layout - he visited our campsite a few years ago and we simply could not get him to leave... he just kept coming back. To get an idea how large he was, check out the size of him walking in front of our tent in the picture on the right side on the layout...
I was at a real loss for photos to use for the second layout - we don't have kids and do not play hockey so photos to use for a title of "Speed and Umph" just weren't in my stash, so I chose some old ski pictures. These type of grunge-like layouts and cards are really not my style. but it was nice to try them out for a bit of a change.

I hope to down to some creating in the coming days now that I am home for a while. I have some photos that I need to get onto some layouts and some of my own cards to get done as well plus a cricut machine sitting here that is is crying out for some play time!

Dreamin' WOTG

Well, it's nothing spectacular, but I finally created SOMETHING, even if it isn't original.... I STILL haven't had time to get out my cricut and play yet - hoping for that tomorrow.
Meanwhile, here are the Dreamin' Workshop on the Go projects. I have to say that they took me WAY longer than I expected! I am not sure if my 3 hour workshop time allotment will be long enough. I may have to rethink that. I will STRONGLY recommend that my particpants have both the Magic book and the Wishes book for sure! Pre-cutting paper at home would be a HUGE advantage!
Anyways, here are the photos of both layouts and the cards.

I will be posting additional artwork with the Dreamin' kit when I receive my Sept. Stamp of the Month.

The new Fall/Winter Idea Book will be available to view tomorrow and you can order the new products online from my site tomorrow as well.
