Pattie's Creations Challenge 227 - Love You More

Welcome to Pattie's Creations Challenge 227!

The theme for this challenge is love although anything goes is also acceptable.

I used a digital design by Pattie's Creations as part of my card.

The background was splattered with a turquoise shimmer brush and I added a watercoloured patterned paper piece across the card, matted on black cardstock. The large heart was printed, coloured and fussy cut and I die cut a second heart as well. They were arranged one on top of the other and I added a stamped sentiment under the large heart. The centres of the flowers were filled in using three shades of Stickles although that is hard to see in the photos. I added three Stickles dots at the bottom of the second heart and well.

Come and join us at Pattie's Creations and show us how you interpret this challenge.

You have until the end of the month to link up your project.

We can't wait to see what you create!

Enjoy,

Alyson

Merry Christmas Poinsettia Spray

Digital designs have become an enjoyable option for me as I am often awake late into the night... they give me something to do that helps pass the time without using a computer.

This image is from Angie Blog Digital Designs and I coloured it with a variety of markers. I wanted to keep the poinsettias red but add some other colours around the flowers.

The coloured piece was adhered to green cardstock and then a red base. I brushed the lines of the flowers with a clear shimmer brush but I didn't add anything extra to the design as I wanted to focus to remain on the spray.

Products used are as follows:

Paper: Evergreen Cardstock, Scarlet Cardstock (both CTMH), Neenah Solar White Cardstock

Stamps: none

Inks: none

Accessories: Digital Image (Angie Blog Digital Designs), Stitched Rectangle Dies (GMD), Tri-Blend Markers, Copic Markers, Touch Markers, Sharpie Markers, Clear Shimmer Brush (CTMH)

Colour Dare 469 - You're Pretty Amazing

Welcome to Colour Dare Challenge 469!

Choose at least three colours from the graphic below - note the colours at the bottom that are free to use.

I used Wisteria, Ballerina, Lagoon and Lemonade.

Christmas cards have been my focus for the last while and this was a nice change... something different.

I used a digital image that was printed and coloured. The sentiment was stamped and adhered to a piece of black cardstock. That was placed on an angle at the top of the card. The centres of the flowers were brushed with the Clear Shimmer Brush and I added some clear dots around the image (they look white in the photo but they really are clear).

Come and join us at Colour Dare and show us how you use the colour grid shown above.

You have two weeks to link up your project.

We can’t wait to see what you create!

Products used are as follows:

Paper: Cardstock - White Daisy, Black, Wisteria, Slimline Cards and Envelopes (all CTMH)

Stamps: Sentiments and Stitches (CTMH)

Inks: Premium Black Dye Ink (Gina K. Designs)

Accessories: Floral Image (Angie Blog Designs), Clear Shimmer Brush, Tri-Blend Markers (CTMH), Clear Gems (unknown), Black Sharpie Marker

Sending You a Hug - Heart

I find colouring to be relaxing and it is often a good project to do when I don't feel like pursuing something larger. I have some digital images ready to colour for that very reason and this is one of them.

The image and the sentiment were printed on the same paper and I used a variety of markers to colour the heart. I wanted to stay with a few colours rather than using a larger mix. Once the colouring was finished, I added some black dots around the image and also two shades of Liquid Pearls. I hand-stitched a pink metallic border before adhering the card to a border piece and then to the card base.

Products used are as follows:

Paper: White Daisy Cardstock, Teal Cardstock (scrapbook.com), Neenah Solar White Cardstock

Stamps: none

Inks: none

Accessories: Digital Heart and Sentiment (Angie Blom Digital Designs), Copic Markers, Tri-Blend Markers, Juniper Liquid Pearls, Dazzle Liquid Pearls, Sharpie Marker, Pink Metallic Thread.

Enjoy,

Alyson

Giraffe Humour

More digital images... still something that is very new to me. These ones are humorous giraffes. There are several images in the group but only two are shown here.

The images were printed on white cardstock for colouring purposes. I didn't want a white background so I printed them again on sticker paper and fussy cut each image. I applied the sticky paper to the coloured images and then used Distress Oxide inks to create a background for each. The pink one was blended from dark in the center to a lighter shade around the edges. The other card was blended in a rainbow colour scheme and then I splattered water on top. I added a few pieces of black patterned paper at the top of each card.

Products used are as follows:

Paper: White Daisy Cardstock, Wildberry Cardstock, Black Cardstock, Misc. Patterned Paper (all CTMH), Neenah Solar White Cardstock

Stamps: none

Inks: DO Inks - Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry, Squeezed Lemonade, Carved Pumpkin, Festive Berries, Wilted Violet, Mermaid Lagoon, Mowed Lawn

Accessories: Angie Blom Digital Designs, Copic Markers, Tri-Blend Markers, Black Journaling Marker, Clear Shimmer Brush (CTMH)

Enjoy,

Merry Christmas Pop-Out Card

My wonderful friend, Trina Wirihana, creates fabulous interactive card designs, colouring sheets and all sorts of other awesome projects. Some can be purchased as a one time purchase and others are available only with a subscription to her site. Her files are all in SVG format so they will work with any electronic cutting machine. The link to her site is here - be sure to check it out!

This card was created using a Christmas pop-out feature and one of her colouring sheets. I printed the colouring sheet and coloured several presents in various colours. The pop-out feature inside the card was cut from Capri cardstock and mounted inside a slimline card base. I also cut a piece of silver glitter paper to add to the top. A fine tip marker was used to draw lines around the outside.

The front cardstock was die cut using a stitched die and then three circles were die cut from that panel. I added glitter paper behind and then arranged the presents in each circle. A few clear sparkles were added to finish off the card.

Products used are Close To My Heart unless otherwise indicated:

Paper: White Daisy Cardstock, Capri Cardstock, Sapphire Cardstock, Silver Glitter Paper, Slimline Cards and Envelopes

Stamps: none

Inks: none

Accessories: SVG File and Colouring Sheet (Trina Wirihana Designs), Stitched Slimline Dies (Pink and Main), Pointed Circle Dies (Nestabilities), Copic Markers, Touch Markers, Clear Shimmer Brush, Red Shimmer Brush, Green Apple Shimmer Brush, Lagoon Shimmer Brush, Clear Sparkles, Bitty Sparkles, Sharpie Marker

Beautiful Day

Digital designs are very new to me and this is one of a few that I purchased a while ago. I love the wreath image and the sentiment underneath. It was simply a matter of colouring the image and adhering it to a base. The first base layer is black and the card base is Bluebird cardstock.

I added some Stickles around the wreath but kept this simple so the wreath was the focus.

Products used are as follows:

Paper: White Daisy Cardstock, Black Cardstock, Bluebird Cardstock (All CTMH)

Inks: none

Stamps: none

Accessories: Angie Blom Digital Designs, Copic Markers, Waterfall Stickles

Enjoy,

Alyson
