Welcome to Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #382!
This is a pretty specific sketch - it requires a starburst (also known as a sunburst) of some sort.
I did some experimenting with this technique not long ago and decided to use shades of green for the starburst component. That colour choice was driven by the colours in the flower and leaves.
I started by stamping the flower and the leaves. The flower is a 4 step stamp from Altenew. I chose purple as I wanted it to stand out against the green leaves. The flower has so much depth - I love it! The leaves are a 3 step stamp - so both parts were easily stamped using a stamp press.
The starburst was created using 4 shades of green cardstock. I didn't want to detract from the flower so I didn't use any patterned paper in the starburst. A strip of Silver Shimmer Trim was added at the bottom of the starburst and a small sentiment was stamped in the corner. I added some silver embellishing thread behind the flower, which was mounted with thin foam tape.
Come and join us at Atlantic Hearts and show us how you interpret the sketch shown above.
You have until Sunday evening to link up your project.
We can't wait to see what you create!

Hi Alyson! Love your new do and photo! And glasses? Looks like you've gotten out and about - good! Just wanted to pop in - that card is so cheery. I'm in awe of that perfect starburst and you color-layered the flower expertly. I have an Altenew layered flower set and I need a lot of practice! haha XOX
