This card is for a very special lady who has experienced a recent tragedy and just happens to be celebrating her 98th birthday in a few days. Here in my hometown, a tragic scenario occurred that caused tremendous outrage in the community when this woman was the victim of a home invasion. Two youths broke into her home while she was sleeping (and she cannot get up on her own). They ransacked her home, causing tremendous damage as she pretended to be asleep during the ordeal. When they finally left, after causing a lot of damage, they also poured maple syrup and oil all over the house, including all over her. Her PSW arrived early in the morning and called the police. She has since been moved to a senior's residence where she is currently staying until the damage to her home can be repaired and she can return there again. The youths, after MUCH media attention, turned themselves into police and are awaiting court appearances.
This lady is the most wonderful, gentle soul imaginable and loves to visit with others. Her mental capabilities are still very much intact. I cannot wait to visit with her this weekend.
I created this card using the Hello Lovely paper pack and a stamp set and die cut set from Stampin Up. I did brush the white cardstock with our Gold Shimmer Brush but it didn't show up in the photos.
The bottom pictures show each panel in closer detail. I will write my message on the reverse of the card.

Beautiful card. What is the name of this type of card. Dimensions?
Linda, the link I used for this card is https://youtu.be/tAVVn61rNTc Hopefully that will give you the info that you need. Happy creating!
Oh my goodness what a horrid and deplorable act to vandalise for pure entertainment. I think your friend is very fortunate to be alive but I guess she is pretty traumatised still. I'm glad the community outrage was huge and these boys handed themselves in. May justice be served.
I do hope that your beautiful card with kind words will be a bright spot to celebrate her 98th orbit of the sun!
What a terrible thing to happen to your friend.
I am sure she will appreciate your thoughtfulness with this beautiful and special card
