Rainbow You are My Happy

I saw this card on Pinterest and wanted to try it myself.

I cut strips of cardstock in 1/8" strips and placed them on a piece of printer paper in rainbow order starting from about the one third point and working up. Once that section was complete, I added pieces at a ninety degree angle and worked across the bottom part. That piece was die cut with a stitched rectangle die. I also cut a black border using a larger die from the same set. Those pieces were arranged on the card base and I added a stamped sentiment in the bottom corner.

Enjoy,

Rainbow Leaves Card

I saw this beautiful card on scrapbook.com's website and wanted to recreate it.

The white card front has an opening cut in the lower half of the piece. Several leaf images were die cut in a series of rainbow colours. I arranged them so the bottom of each piece slid into the opening. Once the yellow piece was adhered, I used that as a guide to stamp the sentiment. The other pieces were arranged after that. I adhered the front onto a card base using craft foam and added some clear gems to finish off the card.

Enjoy,

DT 109 - Rainbow Gnomes

Welcome to Double Trouble Challenge 109!

This week, the challenge is all about rainbows and make-believe items. The small graphic is below. Please visit the Double Trouble Challenge Blog for detailed information.

I chose to combine gnomes and a rainbow - who says gnomes can't be found with rainbows, right?

I stencilled the rainbow first and then stencilled the background with a cloud stencil. The gnomes and the clouds were stamped, coloured and die cut and added to the card front. A sentiment was stamped at the top and the card front was adhered to a base with craft foam.

Come and join us at Double Trouble and show us how you interpret this challenge.

You have two weeks to link up your project.

I am also linking up my card with the Colourful Options Challenge

We can’t wait to see what you create!

Enjoy,

Alyson

Sending You a Rainbow

This was an easy card to create but I love the rainbow effect.

The white floral die was cut three times and stacked. I cut strips of cardstock all the same width and arranged them on a base piece of white cardstock, leaving a small space between each strip. The stacked floral die cut was adhered over the rainbow strips. The sentiment was embossed in white and the large word was die cut in black with a white shadow. No other embellishments were added.

Enjoy,

Alyson
