Welcome to Cut It Up Challenge 348!
The theme for this challenge is "my heart".
I made a card style that I haven't done for quite some time. The side of the card folds inward, leaving an area to add shaped cuts both on the outside and inside the folded card.
I used some old patterned paper from my stash with shades of magenta, sea glass and gold. I chose a black card base and cut the papers to fit the panels. Several heart images were die cut and I stamped on a few of them as well. Hearts were placed on the front and inside the card and the base panel has an oval for a place to write a message. The sentiment was added on the front and a few gold gems were placed on the heart above the sentiment.

The fold on this design is such a clever way to spotlight the heart theme, and the mix of magenta, sea glass, and gold feels so polished. The layered hearts and subtle stamping add great depth, and the gold gems are the perfect finishing touch. The whole piece has a beautiful balance of structure and softness that really suits the challenge.

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun fold to revisit! I love how the inward-folding side creates interest both on the front and inside the card—it’s such a thoughtful design. The mix of magenta, sea glass, and gold against the black base is gorgeous, and the layered hearts add so much depth. The oval writing panel is a great touch, and those gold gems finish everything off beautifully.
