AH 702 - Christmas Stripes

Welcome to Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge 702!

The sketch is shown below.

I really struggled with this sketch - finally decided on a Christmas theme card.
I cut strips of red and green alcohol inked paper and thin strips of gold foil. Those pieces were arranged on a piece of printer paper with double sided tape on one side. I die cut the sentiment plus some holiday  greenery and arranged all of that at the top. I added some gold Stickles to the berries and brushed the leaves with a gold shimmer brush.

Come and join us at Atlantic Hearts and show us how you interpret this sketch.

You have until Sunday evening to link up your project.

We can't wait to see what you create!

Enjoy,

Snowmen Trio

This card was created for a sketch challenge as part of a virtual event.

The sketch is shown below.

I stayed true to the sketch. I chose a colour scheme of turquoise, pink and purple. The snowmen were coloured and die cut and I used a hot foiled sentiment at the bottom. Glitter snowflakes were used to create the banner elements.

Enjoy,

Autumn Thank You Cards

These three cards were from the August Let's Stamp Together class.

The colours are perfect for autumn and I love the touch of turquoise with the autumn colours. There were some inking techniques, stencilling techniques and selected inking for the leaves. I love these cards!

Cut It Up 366 - Be Merry Snowmen

Welcome to Cut It Up Challenge 366!

The theme for this challenge is to use more than one die cut.

I have been working on Christmas cards so this was a good opportunity to use holiday images.

I ink blended the background and die cut it with a border die. The snowmen were stamped, coloured and die cut. I arranged them on the bottom of the card front and added a die cut sentiment at the top.  Some snowflakes were placed on the card and I used a white gel pen to add more "snow".

Come and join us at Cut It Up and show us how you interpret this challenge.

You have until Monday, October 12 to link up your project.

We can't wait to see what you create!

Enjoy,

X-Fold Owl Card

This is such a neat card - it stands up for display and folds flat for mailing.

I chose a masculine theme for my card. The lattice pieces were die cut and assembled into an X shape. There is a flap panel on the front where I stencilled the inked background and added the owl and a sentiment. The flap lifts for a place to write a message.

Enjoy,

Rainbow Love You

This card was created for my friend's Sketchy Saturday challenge.

I splattered a white background with gold and black paint. The rainbow strip was inked with oxide inks and the letters were arranged in the centre. A small word (you) was placed underneath. I die cut a few hearts from the rainbow paper to place above the rainbow strip.

Enjoy,
