Hugs to You...

I tried this card style three times before I (sort of) got it right! It's difficult to line up squares without ending up on an angle. Mine isn't perfect but it's close...

The squares are all 1x1 and I cut more of them than I needed. I chose the colours I wanted and arranged them on a piece of printer paper. Once they were in place, I trimmed that piece and embossed it with a 3D folder. The sentiment was die cut and I added a small stamped piece underneath. A gold mat was used to complement the sentiment.

Enjoy,

Alyson

  2. Love the bold geometric texture in your square embossed card, and the one inch blocks look so polished after embossing while the gold mat and layered sentiment create a clean, modern finish that highlights the careful alignment and crisp color choices.
