A fun card making blog
Whew! Day 4 of 4 in the books! This was a fabulous event with many companies and terrific instructors.
The last day was a day of shorter classes but still new ideas and techniques. The classes were held by Scrapbook and Cards, LDRS Creative, OLO Markers, Altenew, Pink & Main and Brutus Monroe.
I love the trees for the seasons (first picture).
The forest outline frame from Pink & Main is so versatile - I will definitely be using that in the future!

This card was CASEd from one I found online. The Honey Bee Stamps poinsettia is one of my favourite die sets!
I stencilled the background with purple ink and a snowflake stencil and added extra ink around the centre section. The flower images were die cut, inked and I added Stickles to the pieces before assembling them. Once everything was dry, the berries and leaves were placed under the poinsettia and I added a hot foiled sentiment at the top. Some clear gems were added around the card.

These are the cards from Day 3 of the Crop and Create Card Making Event. The classes were from Concord and 9th, Hero Arts, Trinity Stamps and Honey Bee Stamps.
The Trinity Stamps class was all coffee shaped cards including an acetate card and a gift holder - super cute. Honey Bee Stamps was all about adding shading to die cut using markers - a new idea for me. I love the detail in those cards!

Welcome to Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge 650!
The sketch is shown below.
Considering the size of the poinsettias, I had to go to a larger card size of 5x7.
The floral images were die cut and arranged in two groupings. I chose a piece of light blue patterned paper for the background and stamped the sentiment on a white piece of cardstock. Both were matted with black cardstock. The floral sprays were arranged on opposite sides of the sentiment piece. The patterned paper was adhered to a white card base and I added gold gems around the flowers. I also brushed the lines of the flowers with a gold shimmer brush.

Welcome to Dragonfly Dreams and our October challenge!
The theme for this challenge is to make a shaped card.
I make a lot of oval shaped cards so I wanted to try something different. A window die was just what I was looking for! I die cut the window piece twice and on the front window, I placed each of the pots with plants. A sun was also added in the top corner. I placed a piece of acetate behind that window and added a second die cut frame on the back.
The back panel was stencilled with a cloud stencil and I cut a second piece to go on the back for a place to write a message. The sentiment was placed across the bottom of the window.

This is such a cute card and it's very easy to make. The hardest part for me was making sure the patterns were running in the same direction.
I embossed a snowman image, the sentiment and several smaller images, coloured and die cut them. The top easel panel is held up by the strip across the bottom piece. I added the snowman and I put a darker piece of cardstock underneath and trimmed around the section where the image hangs over the edge to give it more strength. Some smaller images were placed on the white inside piece and I added another of those smalller images to the cross piece. The card folds flat to A2 size for mailing.

These are the cards from the Crop and Create Fall Cardmaking Event - Day 2.
The classes were from Gina K. Designs, The Stamps of Life, Picket Fence Studio and Simon Hurley. The Gina K cards are all gift card holders. The Stamps of Life was all about interactive cards with an autumn theme - two of them are shown from the front and the inside. Picket Fence had baby cards and Simon Hurley focused on Solar Sprays and Astro Paste. The last class was a lot of fun, especially playing with messy products!

Welcome to Cut It Up Challenge 340!
The theme for this challenge is to use more than one die cut.
I used many die cuts for my card! The top section was die cut into a white card front and I added a piece of grey cardstock behind the opening. The poinsettias and branches were die cut from various colours of cardstock and arranged at the point of the design. The sentiment was also die cut and placed at the bottom. Some silver gems were placed around the card.

I love the Crop and Create events run by Scrapbook and Cards. I have lost count of how many events I have done - the cards below are from the most recent event (4 day card making event).
There were four formal classes on Day 1 - Taylored Expressions, scrapbook .com, Spellbinders and Lawn Fawn. There were many techniques and ideas presented.

Welcome to Pearly Sparkles and our October challenge.
The theme for this challenge is to use pumpkins and/or autumn leaves.
I used my score board to score five lines along the left side of the card - those are hard to see in the photo. The background was splattered with yellow and red ink and adhered to a brown card base. The leaves were each stamped in two shades of ink and die cut. I arranged them, along with some gold branches, along the left side. A gold ribbon was placed at the bottom and I added a sentiment with gold metallic thread plus some gold gems.
